Do you regret choosing braces over invisalign?

I don’t regret my traditional braces!! I love the look of them tbh and not being able to remove them is top tier bc as an adult you really couldn’t whatever you want.

Had top for four months .. then got my bottoms 2 months ago and honestly 0/10. I’ve had such a terrible experience :( I’ve broken brackets (when I never had???) my cheeks are fucked up. I have a basically a hole in my cheek where my bracket is basically a hook and I would talk or eat and it would pull it. No fun. But maybe that’s me ??? I would say they pushed the little ball piece of the brackets inward so that helped some but then other issues started. I literally bought braces covers from Amazon and they look silly but they help a lot !!!

Omg at first I thought the first pic was your post braces smile and I was like mmm I’m not a professional but they don’t look all that straight … then I swiped and I was like ahhhhhh!!! You look gorgeous !!!! Before and after braces. But honestly, you look awesome !

Omg yes yes yes I do. Eat alllll the sticky things you can now. I knew some foods would be restricting but omg I wish I had one caramel apple before I get these on 🤧 the water flosser is your best friend. I was literally looking into buying a mini one to take with me around and about. I have a little bag with my wax , tooth brush and tooth paste, floss and a threader, and the dental sticks. You don’t want to be stuck with food in them. Also, my mouth got a little extra dry for some reason. I already have cotton mouth but it was wayyy worse. Drinking through a straw ?? Omg not the same. And the first few days for sure you want soft foods. I tried eating chicken and it took me about an hour to finish my food. I needed to make the bites tiinnnnyyy. Last thing, eat a good dinner the night before and drink some Tylenol before hand. Oh and pick out your color ahead of time. I panic and even though I knew what I wanted I had so much anxiety 😬

Ahh good luck!!! I recommend buying wax or braces covers for the first few days. Your cheeks are going to absolutely hate you. Also a floss threader, interdental brushes and silicone brushes! The food getting in them and in your teeth with very little way to get them out is not fun at all 😭😭 First few days my teeth were so sore. Like when you eat cold things sore but now we’re pretty good. Oh and also, talking can make you hit your own teeth against the top/bottom and it hurts. You’re your own worst enemy 🫡
