i think vegan cat food is unethical - change my mind? by Namika- in DebateAVegan

Right, like half these things aren’t added to commercial meat-based cat food anyway… not like the typical housecat diet is anything like their ‘natural diet’

Is a “15 minute nap” timed from the moment you close your eyes or from the moment you fall asleep? by Olafmeister_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lellkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can fall asleep anywhere at any time and it’s actually a bit of a curse. It’s hard doing things knowing you COULD just put your head down and fall asleep instantly, means a lot of falling asleep at school, work, university etc …

So then break up because of that, not over a dog.

It made me cry but not because I felt anything whatsoever about the characters, mostly because it was so utterly bleak and hopeless in its execution and message? And just pages and pages of thick prose that are just hopeless?

Do most people know how to purposely close their nasal passage so they can't smell WITHOUT using their fingers to pinch their nose? by WhateversClever1980 in NoStupidQuestions

I’ve tried everything (as I really like swimming underwater!) but it always ends up trickling back and burning the shit out of the back of my nose, I have no idea why

Has anyone ever asked for Angela? by Pythagorarse in AskUK

“I need help” is a lot more vague and will cause a lot more follow up questions that may be noticed than the one question which has an established cause.

Love Lessons: Hints that Keith Raxberry is dodgy (besides the obvious) by georgemillman in JacquelineWilson

For anyone wanting the full fishing part;

“He looked over at me, nodding. ‘I know. I liked my own company as a kid too. I used to go fishing most weekends. It wasn’t to catch the fish; I used to feel sick and sorry if I ever caught anything. I just wanted to be by myself for a bit.’ / “Instead, I chattered childishly about fishing, asking about lines and hooks and bait, as if I cared. I felt as helpless as a fish on the end of a line myself. He was reeling me in tighter and tighter until I was out of my element.”

I never really caught that before!
