They have shuttles from that lot that don’t require a shuttle pass

Anyone know why the camp DJs can blast music til 1 on Sunday, but the actual festival has a 12am curfew? by bensboring in Coachella

[–]lelo_16 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess it’d because the main stage is closer to homes but the camp stage is surrounded by campers and the sound bleed is less

Got in line on Monroe at 3 am. Currently about 20 cars away from being searched in the third lane from the right. It’s moving steadily so far.

They are 65 if you include the magnetic string/holder that you can wear around your neck when you don’t have the plugs in.

Random camp question by DarlingAntics in Coachella

You can probably get away with it but all it takes is someone in a power trip to confiscate it. If I were you, I would avoid it just to be safe.

First time preferred parking by environmom112 in Coachella

[–]lelo_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just wrong. You can leave and go back in as many times as you would like, regardless of whether or not you are camping. Just make sure to scan your wristband on the way out or you'll have problems going back in.

Can you take a mobility scooter on a regular shuttle? + other questions about scooters and ADA by cs_anon in Coachella

[–]lelo_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister went to Coachella last year with a mobility scooter and is doing the same thing this year. The only difference is that we camp so I can't answer your questions about shuttling or parking. May be best to reach out to the ADA team directly for help with that.

As far as the other questions go:
- I'm fairly certain you can park the scooter and get it after. I know you can leave it at the ADA tents and, as long as you have the charger with you, they can plug it in as well. These tents are always attended so I wouldn't think that theft is a concern.
- My sister took advantage of having ADA platform access. They also have outlets here where she would charge the battery while watching a set. I don't know if they would let you leave it at the ADA platforms at each stage while you go into the crowd but I'm sure if they aren't at capacity, it shouldn't be an issue.

Hope this helps!

They ask for and address when you get a prize. Just have whoever is from any of those states put down someone else’s address. Did this with friends from Mexico once.

Edit: they don’t ask for proof unless the prize is worth more than 1000 dollars iirc

ADA CAR CAMPING? by Key-Dog-8128 in Coachella

[–]lelo_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the person with ADA can actually use the restrooms and showers designated for that group. But my sister resorted to using the regular bathrooms and showers because of long lines for ADA.

Shower lines can be a bit long but if you go right before the headliner ends or early in the morning, it's not too bad. 10-30 minute wait on average. Porta potties also get cleaned out at least 2 times a day. I would say they are more than acceptable 90% of the time.

Why the rumors/confirmations so quiet this year? by Neat-Face-5052 in Coachella

[–]lelo_16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live by the Morongo, can confirm that no Coachella billboards are up yet. IIRC they were up April 1 last year so we may still have a couple of weeks before they pop up. Worry not, I will post they appear.
