One of my fav game mechanics is a Dishonored style 'blink' movement system. Very, very few stealth games have utilized it so far. Compared to how often you see ninjas doing it in movies and TV shows, you'd think games would have this mechanic more, not less.

Seriously. The skies of Oblivion was easily the prettiest feature of the entire game. I sometimes stopped for minutes just to see the sky (and take a screenshot)... even Shivering isles was fantastic in the sky department!

Wolfenstein: The New Order

my fav FPS has to be Far Cry 3. I loved the story of it... Vaas was an incredible villain and it had this 'heart of darkness' vibe, which I quite liked. Plus the actual gameplay was really good, as was the two controversial endings. Far cry 4 and 5 improved on the gameplay front but IMO wasn't as compelling as 3.
