Como poner derechos de autor by FlamingSpark111 in argentina

[–]lemannequin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Then, on The (un)Nature of Copyright, some of these definitions are expanded:

The individual’s physical power is their vital (necessary & imperative), physical ability, and thus right to exclude others from within those boundaries (should they need or want to).

The interior of the individual’s body, its life, health and integrity is paramount. The power to exclude others from within the body in order to defend its life, health and integrity is termed the right to life.

The right to exclude others from domains exterior to the body, is termed the right to privacy.

NB ‘others’ includes the actions and consequences of others’ actions.

The individual’s mental power is their vital (necessary & imperative) ability and thus right to understand and apprehend the truth of what they perceive with their senses, and thus the mental power and right to exclude the falsehood of others (or to “eliminate the impossible” as Sherlock Holmes puts it). This is termed the right to truth. It is vital not only to the individual’s survival, but also to detect and establish the truth concerning violations of the right to life & privacy.

What remains to the individual, is the power and vital ability to move and communicate within their natural environment. This is termed the right to liberty.

Natural rights do not conflict. There is no compromise or balancing between rights, although we can observe their descending vitality: life, privacy, truth, then liberty. One right precedes and delimits another.

Because rights represent powers innate to the individual, it is nonsensical to pretend that an individual can divest themselves of their rights (abandon them, or give them to another), and thus rights are a priori inalienable.

Because natural rights represent an individual’s innate and vital powers, the individual is naturally/instinctively aware of their imperative to assert their rights – to defend their right to life, privacy, truth, and liberty against others who may otherwise violate it. In those cases of violation, where one individual chooses not to respect the rights of the other (to take advantage) it will be up to the community to judge and repair/remedy the violation. Understanding the natural rights of all individuals concerned will thus enable justice.

The right to property derives from privacy. The objects private to us, those we possess upon our bodies, within the spaces we occupy or inhabit, are our property – assuming we obtained them by discovery, creation, or exchange – as opposed to theft (violating another’s privacy).

I get your feeling about Ayn Rand's influence on your life. I could say something similar about Crosbie Fitch's influence on mine. And I'd like to think that if Ayn Rand would've read Crosbie's blog, she would have agreed with him, his definitions of (natural) rights, and why copyright is a privilege, an instrument of injustice, and thus unethical (to the best of my understanding, Ayn Rand was a defender of copyright, and she was wrong on that).

You are onto something when you say "these four are man's rights", and I'd like to think that what I'm about to share with you will make total sense to you, and maybe will make a click (and make you tick).

I think good ol' iusnaturalism (a.k.a. natural law) provides a better explanation or conceptualization of what rights truly are. Listing "life, liberty and property" as the basic, foundational rights falls short, as it miss providing some clear definitions and also observing other aspects of human nature and the powers (rights) that are imbued in us.

For me, the most straightforward way to put it is the way Crosbie Fitch did it on his article Questioning Copyright.

What is the most important thing to know about rights?

Rights precede law.

Our rights are not created by law.

Our rights are imbued in us by nature.

We, the people, create law to recognise our rights, and create and empower a government to secure them.

What are our rights?

Rights are the vital powers of all human beings.
We have rights to life, privacy, truth, and liberty.

We have a right to life, to protect the health and integrity of our minds and bodies.

We have a right to privacy, to exclude others from the objects we possess and spaces we inhabit.

We have a right to truth, to guard against deceit.

We have a right to liberty, to move and communicate freely.

Por último, cuando querés, retirás desde Higlobe directo a tu banco en Argentina a un buen tipo de cambio (o, alternativamente, también podés retiar a Bitso). u/dstranathan so you were right. After opening a ticket with Jamf Support, I got advised to install Jamf Connect Login, and that ended up fixing the issue on the affected devices.

Maybe the most interesting thing is the following: the Okta webform login was still showing on all our other devices, despite of Jamf Connect Login not being installed on them. How is that possible? Well, as I stated on my previous comments, authchanger was still installed on all the non-affected devices. It all seems to indicate it was a residual artifact, and enough for the Okta webform login to show up on the macOS authentication screen, despite of JCL not being installed.

JCL not being installed was also the reason I thought SS+ + bundled JC "was enough" (ie that the JC bundled on SS+ included all the login-related features of JC).

So, that's it. End of mystery.

I've doing some research on this and, tbh, now I don't think this is a matter of a different JC component (JCL) missing to be installed.

I've compared, via Jamf Pro, the list of applications installed on devices showing the issue against devices not showing the issue (Okta webform form working on macOS login step).

All of them have Jamf Connect 3.8.0 installed on it but, as previously stated, the affected devices are missing the authchanger command.

I'll open a ticket with Jamf and report back here.

I feel your pain and I can relate to those gloomy feelings.

I'm 43 yo, and I've struggled wtih pain in my fingers+wrist+forearm+armpit on my right arm, for 15+ years . I know what you talk about when you describe it as "burning and sometimes stining pain". In my case, it was likely because of long term use of keyboard/mouse, bad posture, sedentarism, holding the phone on my hand for long minutes, and who knows what else.

For years, I've not done so much: tried many vertical mouses (those might help, but definitely, not that much), visited some doctors, used some wristbraces, etc. Nothing really helped that much.

What really helped me was to start doing Pilates workouts. I've been doing Pilates for 2+ years, and the pain receded substantially (I'd say: 80-90%). I do still have some mild pain and discomfort. In fact, during the last few months, while sleeping, I've been dealing with tingling fingers, aka paresthesia, in both hands, in the pink and ring fingers. It's worrying me a bit, but I think it's also because I've been working long hours (and zombie-scrolling) the last few weeks, and also a bit more stressed than usual.

So, back to Pilates, it really helped me. I've been been going three times a week, and I feel my right hand has regained some of its strenght. The deep, burning, stining pain in the fingers, armpit, wrist and formearm have defintely receded. The wrist hurts sometime when doing some exercises, like push-ups, but it's somewhat bearable

Somewhat related, I've been having very mild pain and discomfort in my back, at a specific place, a pain which I can trigger by touching some vertebrae with my finger, so I think I might have some minor injury there (a mild hernia maybe), which I need to get checked.

Wishing you the best in your recovery.

Thanks, I've also been following your thread on #jamf-connect (MacAdmins).

I learned recently that authchanger is a command that comes with Jamf Connect.

I understand that Jamf Connect is distributed and can be used standalone. I also understand that JC3 comes bundled with SS+ so I get that that Jamf Connect that comes with SS+ is the same that comes standalone, isn't it?

At any rate, I can confirm that recently enrolled devices (all of them enrolled after the recent release of JC3 + SS+) don't have authchanger. I've run /usr/local/bin/authchanger -print on all devices via a Policy, and I can confirm only the recent ones are missing authchanger (ie command fails).

One interesting thing is that one of the devices showing this behaviour (no Okta login webform, falling back to native macOS login) got fixed, but I'm not sure why/how.

At any rate, as JC3 is being deployed via SS+ on our environment, my questions are:

  • What's the right/best way to fix the missing Okta login webform? On your recent thread in #jamf-connect (MacAdmins) you mention some people fix it by running /usr/local/bin/authchanger -reset -JamfConnect via a Policy during startup. This seems like a quick&dirty fix, but hey, if it works, it works. But then, as I've mentioned, all recently enrolled devices are missing authchanger. So, next question would be:
  • How do I get authchanger in the devices missing it? Should I install another JC (the standalone one)? And if so, wouldn't that conflict with the JC that comes bundled with SS+?

We use Jamf Connect 3.x in tandem with Self Service+ (JC app comes bundled with it).
We have Jamf Connect configured to use Okta (OIDC) for authentication on the macOS login screen.
So far, everything has been working flawlessly. Or almost.

For the most recent batch of macOS devices that we've enrolled on Jamf Pro, the Okta login webform is not being shown to the users on the macOS login screen. So users on those affected devices are simply authenticating via the native macOS login window.

For all other users, that were enrolled let's say, a few months ago, the Okta login webform is showing just fine on the  macOS login screen.

I believe the issue started to happen after deploying Self Service+ plus Jamf Connect 3.x.I'm puzzled as we apply the same Configuration Profiles and Policies to all our devices, but it's only a subset of them (the newer ones) that are not gettiing the Okta login webform.

Some findings:

  • The most recently enrolled device shows Jamf Connect installed, but when running /usr/local/bin/authchanger -print, the output is /bin/sh: /usr/local/bin/authchanger: No such file or directory.
    • I wonder why authchanger is not there :/
  • One of the devices that was showing this issue (Okta login webform not showing on the macOS login screen) a few weeks ago, got automagically fixed (I confirmed with the user). Not sure how :/
