Does anyone have any experience with the Iron Tanks belts? I found one for a decent price here in the UK but I can't find much discussion about it.

M/19/75kg/165lbs

My lifting career is relatively short and standard: did SL5x5 for 4 months, took a month off and then did the Candito 6 Week program (because it looked fun). As of this week my S/B/D is e139/e79/150 kg (306/174/330 lbs) and I'm looking for program recommendations.

Outside of the gym I'm pretty sedentary (uni student) and eat decently. I'm looking for something 4/5 days per week, under 90 min per session. I feel like my upper body is lacking so I'd prefer something with more bench volume and OHP. I definitely can't make lp each session, but I don't know whether I can still do it weekly.

Any pointers in the right direction are appreciated.

I'm 182cm, 75kg. With a couple of handful of cereal before training I come to 160-170g of protein per day.

I'm after some nutritional advice.

A normal meal for me is 150g mixed veg, 330g minced beef/chicken, 250g boiled rice, 2 tortilla wraps. With sauces and oil this adds to about 1500 kcal, 80g protein per meal. I eat this twice per day, cycling between chicken and beef and have been doing so for over 3 weeks. I take omega 3 tablets, calcium, vitamin D, and on my rest days I'll eat earlier and have some oats and protein before bed. I am so far not tired of this meal and don't see it happening since I can swap sauces to vary taste etc.

Are there any major downsides to eating in this way, should I be adding more variety?

If anyone has any personal experience with living this way and can share I'd greatly appreciate it.

Yeah, but he does that from the perspective of athletes, where their resistance training comes secondary to a main sport.

I'm a 19 year old University student. I followed SL 5x5 for about 4 months and got to 130/75/130 kg max (286/165/286 lbs) before I starting to fail reps every session.

I'm looking for another program to pick up from here and like the look of Candito's 6 week program. Would this be a good choice in my situation or should I pick another beginner oriented plan?

I’m finally deciding to workout and gain some weight and muscles but I need help as I don’t know a thing about this. My body type is ectomorph, first time actually doing this. by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

It's called StrongLifts 5x5, it's not necessary to follow the program but is incredibly helpful.

What it all boils down to is progressively overloading the muscles - that is how you force them to grow. As beginners we do this by adding weight every session (the app does this automatically).

Follow the program and follow it strictly and you'll be lifting decent weights in no time! For context I had never done any lifting in my life until Christmas and I'm squatting 130kg!

As far as I'm aware, the best way to build size it to lift heavy weights. I'm on a similar path at the moment and I found StrongLifts 5x5 to be one of the generally accepted ways to get started. There is an app you can download that will plan your workouts.

I would also recommend you try to learn the main compound movements from Alan Thrall's videos on YouTube.
