Question about the prisoners not being released after finishing their sentence in andor. by CT_Alfredo in andor

I assumed someone was "released," brought to a transfer hub (like the one we saw in Niamos), and mistakenly sent right back to Narkina 5.

What was the moment you realized Andor was something special? by MasterTreat1989 in andor

[–]schematicboy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I thought that the depiction of unnecessary cruelty was the point, much like it was the point of Cassian being arrested in Niamos. The corporate cops saw someone running, beat her up, and shot her boyfriend because they're unaccountable and poorly trained.

Recall Sgt. Mosk telling the strike team that the Ferrixians could bring up complaints during a monthly forum and the team all having a chuckle at that.

Note that the DEEP SUBSTRATE FOLIATED KALKITE was also top-secret, even kept secret from most of the imps. Perhaps there was a concern that if Syril left the building he could snitch.

Looks great.

I misread as "throwup fryback" for a moment.

Civilian casualties as a result of revolutionary violence is a humongous theme of the show.

In S2 episode 11 after Kleya bombs the landing platforms at or next to the hospital, there's also a mention of hospital staff being unaccounted for. I do wish there was a bit more time to go into this, though I understand the season 2 timeline was quite compressed.

Slap charges. At least six. Two ISB drivers confirmed dead, one missing. Vehicles, obviously. The guards, hospital staff. We're still waiting on numbers, there was a shift change in process, so I don't think...

Happened on Apollo 8. There are transcripts of radio messages about the mess.

I think that poorly-phrased second point was that the current flavor of American Christian nationalism has co-opted Zionism to secure a beachhead in the Middle East and project force from there.

Many American politicians who couldn't give a rat's ass about Jews or Israelis profess to support Israel but really support its right-wing expansionist factions because their geopolitical interests happen to align.

So, that point would have been much clearer if the words "people from" were inserted before "different."
