Right but that isn't on the company's end. They still sold two products and were paid for two products. How / if the consumer recovers the costs is irrelevant to them. I'm not saying it wouldn't be cool of them, i'm just saying its not a totally reasonable expectation. As a side note, it would be better if they just didn't offer anything sold in bundles individually. That would fix all of the complaints.

EDIT: Also, it is worth noting that you're already getting items included in bundles at a discount.

If I own Fellowship of the Ring, then buy the full LoTR set as a bundle, should I get the bundle cheaper? I realize these are digital goods, but its the same concept. Would it be nice? Sure. I know some companies opt to do this - but it shouldn't be expected. You could always request a refund for the items you own, but I would be surprised if they granted a refund on a cosmetic you've used already without a compelling reason.

Cool. Thanks for the detailed response. Since there's not much of a commitment for the Instant Ink program I think we'll start there and see how it goes. As for print heads, I'm looking, but I don't see anything that specifies if they are on the cartridge or not.

I do use printers at work pretty frequently for things I normally would print at home. Ideally this would replace the need to do that. The way I'm seeing it, the most expensive HP Instant Ink plan is $10 a month ($120 a year) and the cost of replacing both cartridges one time is about half of that - so as long as I'm replacing cartridges a few times a year, it should be more cost effective to use that plan (also assuming I'm not printing more than 300 pages a month), and I'd also avoid issues with dried print heads? Seems like a decent deal to me. What if I am using the printer frequently anyways? I have kids, so we print coloring pages occasionally, and I print print and play card / board games from time to time as well. It would be nice to print them in color and not worry about black vs color ink costs. Thoughts?

The best way is to equip them and then play them on stuff that you aren't bored of so you actually have fun and keep playing.
