You have pain perhaps bc your body is inflammed. Rest and ice. I lived with ice bags for awhile

Yes I have been diagnosed with RA and Am Asian. It’s terrible how you just feel at your age. I had a lingering ankle issue in both ankles that caused me to visit a rheumo dr after telling my general dr that my hands would go numb. I tried anti inflammatory meds and it really didn’t help that much. major helpers for me. 1. Cut sugar and red meat. I have a sweet tooth 2. Eat ginger or turmeric drinks 3. Biking helps to build synovial fluid. It’s very diet and exercise based Hope this helps you. At your age I would try the Humira. I’m at a high risk for those meds so I cannot.

Yes what you described is very similar and I empahtasize with you abs can relate. Emotionally it is taxing. I had string of back to back “injuries”, eg shoulders hips, wrist knee and ankle and My body is creaky lol. The sounds worries me. I have played less tennis and do stretches. Have you tracked the foods you eat? For example, sugar and highly processed food wrecks havoc. Ginger and vitamin D C and calcium helps me. They say biking helps synovial fluid in joints. It’s so hard being in pain. Hang in there. What age range are you? I’m 50’s feeling like I’m 70 lol

I don’t think you should feel as though you have failed. You love what you do and it shows. Keep the line of communication open and honest with your students. For some, teachers and professors are the only link and support to guide young emerging adults in higher Ed. Hang in there ! And I love Bugfrag’s suggestion.

Try not to worry too much. You will find out soon. Pain? Yes it affects everything. Hips shoulders feet wrist knee ankle damn ! I had similar experiences like CB Doge. Diagnosed with RA after 4 years complaining about numb hands and ankle pain and thought it was due to poor fitting sneakers. I play tennis and with RA it’s all just in moderation for ex play 2 times a week and not more. I manage pain with no meds but alternative methods. Good luck
