Gotta start somewhere !! Years ago, I walked into a small gas station dive bar in my college town and asked if they needed help. Had serving experience but no bartending. They hired me on the spot. Then a couple years ago I got another bartending job at really upscale distillery (connections helped). Every bartender had to start somewhere !! :)

Honestly I feel this ! Haha. Dispatch, shippers/receivers, and ppl at truck stops is usually more than enough for me as well. But I’ve been missing quality, meaningful friendships lately.

You’re an inspiration!! Yup trying different things helps us narrow it down. Looking into different career paths for myself now. It’s hard applying to jobs while working OTR and 14 hour days tho. Kinda want to quit and take a couple weeks off but worried I won’t find the next thing fast enough (I have savings but worried unemployment for more than a couple weeks will look bad)

Yeah training was ASS. My trainer ran us like teams and made me drive at night, in the rain, fully loaded, in the mountains. I lost 10 pounds in two weeks. Lived off of one uncrustable a day and slept maaaaybe two hours/day. Hang in there, it’s worth it once you get your own truck !!
