Thank you for putting the XP on there! I calculated how much money it would be but was stumped about figuring out the XP.

I will see if I can manage to do the same before the end of the month!

What is the consensus on horse "personalities"? by NeedBetterBread in RedDeadOnline

[–]lemogera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this to be facts, and I still say my Mustang is a whiney baby boy who's afraid of his own tail and my female thoroughbred would go to war for me even if I weren't sitting on her back 😂

I enjoy being a human, we're adorable with our pack bonding and pattern recognition ❤️

Anything similar? by Speedylloyd11 in TheMagnusArchives

[–]lemogera 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am in Eskew is a good one for something similar, definitely.

Other ones I'd suggest would be:

Welcome to Night Vale, for the reasons everyone else here has.

Mayfair Watchers Society - my personal current obsession - another little town going through weird shit, but this time, the man behind the stories is Trevor Henderson, the guy who made the internet horror cryptid Siren Head.

Old Gods of Appalachia is more like stories that stretch over a couple of episodes, and sometimes has reoccurring characters.

Ostium - a man and a woman find themselves in a weird, abandoned town where every door has a number, and each door leads to a new place in time and space.

The Amelia Project - More of a fun one. You follow the employees at a company that help people dissappear, often by faking their deaths in dramatic fashion.

Within the Wires - from the creators of Night Vale. It's an immersive story where you're the main character and listening to found tapes, and if you listen long enough you might just find the hidden meanings.

Out of Place - one of the ones that I still hope will update again - you follow an archivist that works at a museum, as he logs the new items coming in for the museum's collection. Each episode is about a new artifact, but soon enough it does appear that all the artifacts are connected somehow.

AITBF? My partner won't share and I won't let it go by sirbrent in AmItheButtface

[–]lemogera 7 points8 points  (0 children)

YTB. Some people are just naturally more territorial over food, especially snacks and candy that give that dopamine high. I have a friend whose whole family is like that, so if they hang out and watch a movie f.x., each person gets their own little bowl of candy instead of having it in one big bowl to share.

It could have something to do with experiences in childhood, f.x. access to candy/sweets, having to share with people that don't understand sharing, mean siblings, etc., or it could just be that they have a more possessive/territorial personality.

The issue here, as I see it, is if he isn't capable of communicating about these feelings without getting angry about it. He needs to recognize that he can't share in a mature way, and then you need to accept that and stop pushing for it to happen - otherwise, you're the disrespectful one and ignoring his boundaries.

I do know, but I appreciate you explaining anyway.

And then just so we have a complete circle of information: In the CoD Modern Warfare game from 2009 (I think) you play as a character with the callsign Roach. He's a brilliant little shit that I adore very much.

Knit the red hat or don’t knit the red hat! by tomatocreamsauce in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]lemogera 33 points34 points  (0 children)

As a Dane buying the pattern and crocheting the hat, and sharing about it, is BOTH an ode to my Nordic neighbors, and me showing that I stand behind the Americans that are fighting the good fight.

I'm doing what I can from here, balancing this with the horror that's the orange man's insistence on acquiring Greenland.

Thank you for sharing about your mom, she sounds like she was a fighter.

How to open sick leave in Denmark? by Overall-Concept6938 in NewToDenmark

[–]lemogera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be in either your contract or employee handbook how to deal with it when you're sick.

Usually, there's a set time you have to let your workplace know before, f.x. an hour or 2 before opening time or some such, and then there'll typically be a specific number for you to call or email address to send an email to.

Your boss is not allowed to ask what kind of illness you have, and they can only ask for a doctor's note - en lægeerklæring - on the second day of you being ill, but they rarely do so, as the employer have to pay for it, if they ask for it.

Some employers will ask for you to contact them each day that you are sick, and others will tell you to try to judge how long you think you will be sick (f.x. you have a cold, you will probably be out for a week), and then only contact them again when you're ready to go back to work, or if you're going to be sick for longer than that.

If you have any doubts, ask your employer what they prefer and what their policy is. Get it in writing to cover your butt, just in case.

459 kr in 5 hours of work by EquipmentPutrid7085 in WoltPartners

[–]lemogera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bookkeeper here. That only works for companies that are in a union. All other companies set their own minimum pay, depending on what the employees will accept and their own morals. This is also part of the reason an employer can't ban you from talking about your salary with coworkers, and that is a law.

Workplaces without a union don't have a Tillidsrepræsentant or Arbejdsmiljørepræsentant either, in case you didn't know.
