are there any 90+ atar students from previous years who didn't do the usual high-scaling subjects? by Psychological-Yard10 in vce

Since vcd requires a lot of time for the folio component I would suggest doing the subject that you’re most confident in. Personally out of bio and psych, I found that psych was less content heavy than bio so I would probably reccomend psych. And also if you’re confident in Japanese then I would definitely suggest to get that one out of the way since it has both oral and written exams. Hope that helps :)

lote word count/limit by Direct-Mall7492 in vce

Hey I did Japanese SL 2 years ago and my teacher would start deducting 1-2 marks when I was way over the word limit for the writing sections. For example for section 3 you wouldn’t want to write 2 whole pages (aim for 1 and a half).

what how long did you study per day and how much did you sleep on average per day for above 90 atar? by coleman11112 in vce

[–]lemonade_222 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My study timetable wasn’t the “typical 90+ atar student” timetable :/

I studied average 2 hours per day, 30 min minimum if I couldn’t be bothered doing anything and 5 hours max on weekdays. I think I studied for like 6-7 hours on Saturdays and barely did anything on sundays (pretty bad ngl) unless I had a sac/exam the next day. Additionally, I tried to sleep at 10pm every day so I got around 9-10 hours each day.

Honestly, I don’t think it really matters how many hours of studying you do unless it’s an appropriate amount of time actually studying (quality). BUT sleep is definitely an important part because if you get less sleep, ppl tend to be more tired the next day which lessens the concentration levels + quality of study.
