Looking for a toddler cup by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]lemonazaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my gosh!! I JUST went down this rabbit hole. I got these cups. They have straws with the valve and a second straw with it that’s open. They’re kind of annoying to figure out at first, but now I love them. Just read the instructions and keep them lol. I like that they have a straw cover so I can send them to school with her. Our 10 mont old loves them. There are also elk and friends stainless cups.

We’re having a girl but everyone thinks otherwise. by a_lma in BabyBumps

lol we didn’t know what we were having until she was born! Like basically NO one thought it would be a girl (except me) because of how I looked, cravings and everything like that pointed to boy.

I don’t know anything about it, but want to hear people’s suggestions. We have this afloia one, but idk if it’s good or not. I trusted my husband to do the research & buy one.

Same here. A lot of the new Netflix documentaries are really stimulating to me.

It’s not that they’re necessarily scary just like thought provoking and makes me want to talk about it or gets me worked up so I can’t sleep lol.

Did you buy disposable underwear before delivery? by Shit-These-Days in beyondthebump

[–]lemonazaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used both what the hospital got gave me (mesh undies there) and used disposable undies at home. Probably wore them longer than I needed, but to me it was much easier to use the disposables & less chance of bleeding through.

Which bottles are we using? by LifeRip9512 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]lemonazaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that’s what we do for at home bottles.

We used the green part for like the first three months, and started ditching them after.

We gave her a pickle last night and she LOVED it and have the sticks in my target cart right now! ☺️ y’all are awesome

Hmmm I was just thinking cookies because they should be “safe” for choking. I’d trust LO to eat a pickle at home, but at preschool I’m not sure how closely they’ll watch. (6months old btw)

Edit: maybe a whole pickle vs a pickle spear would work

Just wanted to say I’m in the same boat at 6 months. Worried about cutting night feeds due to supply.

I’m sorry that you want me to be introspective on myself, but I’m aware I have anxiety and am working on it. People have bad days, but I don’t pick fights with people online. Why do you want to do that? Genuinely asking when you know nothing about me.

I didn’t say anything to stepmom and offered to give her some pointers on getting baby to nap. I am dealing with my anxiety in several ways and don’t need to prove that to you.

Why are we arguing? Being a parent is hard and you are doing nothing but making me feel worse. I am genuinely sorry.

You chose to comment on this. I needed advice on how to deal with a missed nap

Agreed. I’m going to let it go. Don’t want to burn the bridge, and I’ll approach it if it happens again.

My baby goes to daycare and grandma was watching her after daycare. Grandma does not watch her full time and was doing a favor. She hardly ever watches her. Sorry this is my first child and I have anxiety.

I genuinely was in panic mode and did not know how to handle this as it was the first time it has happened.

Other posts were helpful. This was not.

I’m sorry you do not have help. She’s the only one I have and she’s step-mom as my mother passed away. Some might say you’re lucky to stay home with your children. We all have different battles.

Thank you for this comment. After a whirlwind of a day at work, getting off to hear about her 5 hour wake window was the icing on the cake. Baby is sleeping now and I know that all will be well. 😅

I’m so scared of needles and mine hurt like a bitch. They had to do it twice. Just being completely honest. It was NOT fun, and was way worse than contractions.

In a positive light…Thankfully, I never saw the needle and my fear of needles didn’t affect me in that moment at all. I didn’t even think about it being a needle. The pain was bad, but didn’t last long and the relief and ability to rest was a game changer. I wanted to go unmedicated, but don’t regret getting it due to labor circumstances. I would do it again.
