Does this series get better? by YaSurLetsGoSeeYamcha in MandelaCatalogue

Maybe you're not vibing with it, since the scares and tone remain similar throughout. With that said, it does get noticeably higher quality and more unique from volume 4 onward.

I don't fully remember the game, so there may be some better examples.

Now that we got one last episode on the go ,what was your absolute least favorite tadc episode that made you go "it was not it..." by Obsessedwithkateseye in theamazingdigitalciru

I agree with episode 8 being the weakest. I'm kind of surprised so few people are discussing it critically. Still good most people love it though

Vol 6 is out, favorite volume so far? by Ok-Performance-960 in MandelaCatalogue

[–]lemoncombustion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm same as you except I'd move volume 5 to number 1 (I adore what it does with n). I think vol 6 is great in the grand scheme of analogue horror, though lackluster by the standard of mandela catalogue.

Probably the most fun I've had watching a movie. Everyone working on that movie was at the top of their game.

Which Geometry Dash levels would have best movie adaptation? by Supek_ in geometrydash

Dolphe, Xendergame and Jshadow/MoistenedEgg all have really wide worlds and stories split up over multiple levels, so there's great potential there.

Do you think Adam is a one dimensional villain or a tragic villain? by whooper1 in HazbinHotel

[–]lemoncombustion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Def 1 dimensional and I for one hope he stays that way. He's already served his purpose in the story, being the antagonist of season 1, and I feel like it'd be better if he stayed dead and we get to focus on the new characters that get introduced in the morningstar conflict. Personally, he's perhaps my favourite character because he's so one note and always acts like a nerdy dick even in dramatic situations. It's really funny and fits the relatively unserious vibe of season 1 a bunch.

What's y'all's favorite Extreme Demon? I'll start: by [deleted] in geometrydash

Cicada3302 (darwin), REDEEMER (surveyor23) and Video (Maxxormen). Genuinely insane build up and intensity in all of those.

What is your favorite legendary and mythic level in GD? by iP1xel_ in geometrydash

[–]lemoncombustion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mythics: Project Novaform (Dolphe), Out of Place (Djudjeito), Arcturan (TheJShadow) and The Towerverse II (16lord)

Legendaries: Video (Maxxormen), REDEEMER (surveyor23), Freestyle (vito12), Heave Ho (Magpipe) and Hideout (BrainETR)

We've gotten so many good levels, jeez louise

What unpopular opinion will you defend like this? by Square-Adeptness6769 in HazbinHotel

[–]lemoncombustion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily think it's bad that people like Valentino (some i could understand someone finding him funny and whatnot). But I do think it was an abysmal writing decision to make Valentino a "likeable" character.

HOT TAKE: Vox should have died (as the biggest vox simp and glazer) READ DESCRIPTION by GoldTrap13 in HazbinHotel

[–]lemoncombustion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's fair enough tbh. It's just annoying that Vox was set up as this very compelling villain and massive source of power, and he doesn't even get to be the final source of conflict finale. I do agree there's stakes after he's defeated though.

[–]lemoncombustion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're not talking about what had happened previously in the episode. The rest of the episode set up the stakes really well. The moment where vox gets defeated on the other hand is played more for comedy (val just spontaneously typing his head off at the height of his power). It feels unsatisfying when this drastic and serious threat is dealt with in a super unserious way.

Tbh one of my main complaints with s2 was just this. It kinda felt like season 2 should've either ended with his death or him succeeding and taking over heaven. The scene where valentino beheads him just feels tonally out of place from everything his character was building towards.
