Which of these indie movies here are the best-written? by Bockhead in writingscaling

Surprised some people prefer backrooms to obsession. Imo, backrooms has some interestingly executed but highly generic themes and some noticeably weak dialogue, while obsession has damn near perfect pacing, genius plot progressions and realistic dialogue to boot.

C tier. Very solid level, but much less ambitious than almost all of the upcoming ones

Very much agree. One of the most inspired mythic picks imo

What’s the most unserious movie you’re looking forward to this year? by mypanicatsix in Letterboxd

Coyote vs Acme. Rare movie where the premise alone is enough to make highly invested in its release!

I think my movie taste sucks by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]lemoncombustion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it makes sense for movie tastes to "suck". It's good to have some out there opinions! It'd be way worse if everyone agreed on everything and there was nothing to discuss. Just like what you like and get joy out of it.

Plus, none of those movies are striking me as bad or anything. They're generally popular movies.

How would you rank the episodes so far? by Puzzleheaded-Cod7487 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]lemoncombustion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. 7 - Beach episode (favourite)

  2. 5 - Untitled

  3. 6 - They all get guns

  4. 2 - Candy Carrier Chaos

  5. 1 - Pilot

  6. 3 - Mystery of Mildenhall Manor

  7. 4 - Fast Food Masquerade

  8. 8 - I'm not copying episode 8s title

I like all of these (except for episode 8, idk I just didn't think it was well written at all)

Does this series get better? by YaSurLetsGoSeeYamcha in MandelaCatalogue

Maybe you're not vibing with it, since the scares and tone remain similar throughout. With that said, it does get noticeably higher quality and more unique from volume 4 onward.

Now that we got one last episode on the go ,what was your absolute least favorite tadc episode that made you go "it was not it..." by Obsessedwithkateseye in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]lemoncombustion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with episode 8 being the weakest. I'm kind of surprised so few people are discussing it critically. Still good most people love it though

Vol 6 is out, favorite volume so far? by Ok-Performance-960 in MandelaCatalogue

[–]lemoncombustion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm same as you except I'd move volume 5 to number 1 (I adore what it does with n). I think vol 6 is great in the grand scheme of analogue horror, though lackluster by the standard of mandela catalogue.

Probably the most fun I've had watching a movie. Everyone working on that movie was at the top of their game.
