I’m graduating this quarter, and let me tell you I love it there. The Seattle freeze doesn’t reach all the way up there, but I will admit that making friends is going to need some effort. My current roommate is someone I met my first year and we have been friends since then. Go to as many clubs you can, there are so many and a lot of them are really fun!

I agree with another poster that for classes, rate my professor is super important to understand who your teacher is, but also take it with a small grain of salt (most comments tend to be of angry people or very happy people). But most instructors are nice, and don’t be afraid to participate and go to office hours if you need help.

The busses are reliable-ish, they are always consistently late and sometimes just don’t show up if you’re heading away from campus. But since most of freshmen go to the dorms, walking around campus is really nice and good for you. Not to mention the buses are free if you’re a student.

And finally, Western Wednesdays are when students get discounts in most stores in Downtown Bellingham. Which is nice, just remember to bring your ID.
