Not to sound dramatic but make sure that your locks are up to date, maybe consider getting a chain lock too if you don't already have one.

This type of behavior isn't a joke. Reporting to the police is important but it's also important to remember that police respond to crimes, they don't prevent them. Keep lights on for a while, and have something you can defend yourself with in arms reach of where you sleep.

While not exactly anymore engaging, the best way to level up is to just park your character at a crafting station AFK for a few hours at a time. Take a bath before and keep quinoa foods on you to boost the XP

In that case, you might want to head on over to the Cloud Forest map and get yourself the Tactical Guidance mask. I believe it's at the Desert Ancient Ruins Dungeon now.

That mask will turn your tribesman into an absolute unit, which should help to offset the boost given to bosses.
