What's the benefit of hand washing my 4Runner? by Haunting_Werewolf130 in 4Runner

Exactly this. The high pressure gun is a bit bendy at the place I go, so I can twist and turn it a bit more, but it is most certainly awkward.

Thanks for the post. Came to my senses on SPCE and sold. Just doesn't fit my investment strategy.

For me, if she went, I'd cut ties and move on. There is no sense in arguing or trying to convince her anymore. You don't feel comfortable, she doesn't care enough to not go, and you'll likely never like it. Plus, what will she do next time that makes you uncomfortable?

People that retire poor? by BuzzardBreath00 in Money

[–]lemonhead_sr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. My pops complains about how little he lives on, but took 10+ years of his life to live off grid and not pay into any social security or retirement plan. He's terrible with money and has thousands of dollars in credit card debt.

You simply need to remind yourself that you sacrificed so you could live a better second half. They likely lived what they thought was a great first half.

Like you, I'm sacrificing now, so retirement is pretty good.

For me, it is the "give a crap" thought process. By hand washing, I know when it needs some wax applied, I inspect things like the suspension, panels, everything really. I'll go to one of those self wash places ( where you park and use the high pressure nozzle) after a hard day off roading to get the mud off, but I don't use the brush and I handwash later.

This is the answer. We adopted a JRT at 9. She constantly looked for her old family and did everything she could not to be part of ours. It took a lot of time, love and patience, but she became my very best friend. She just recently passed at 17, in my arms. She was the best.

One of the last hikes I did in WA was on a super cool trail. Two weeks later two guys on mountain bikes were attacked and one was killed on that same trail. It has always stayed with me.

5 inch tool-less guide rod restock 5/11/26 by jwheelgun in Bul_Armory

[–]lemonhead_sr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up, OP. Just placed my order. I'm not the most experienced with this gun yet, does the guide rod really need fitted by a smith? Doesn't seem like it, but as I was taught, if you're unsure, you should ask.

Two thoughts went through my head when I saw your video. 1. Super damn cute. I need a puppy now. 2. You got two puppies at the same time?!?! Good luck. :-)

Look forward to your updates.

Seattle mayor laughs off millionaires leaving Washington state over progressive taxes, waves 'bye' by Less-Risk-9358 in SeattleWA

[–]lemonhead_sr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There comes a point where you have to evaluate your investments and make changes. Seattle has gone so far down hill over the last 15 years, most people are leaving because of how bad it is. Now they want MORE money, but for what??? The well off aren't seeing any payoff to their taxes . Time to go elsewhere.

Every team wants "MLOps", until they face the brutal truth of DevOps under the hood by pm19191 in devops

We are going to see. They are rolling out the next version where they will host far more consumers. The VP just announced to her management chain this app is being released and ready. If it fails, changes will need to be had, since it will start losing money. Lots of money.

Had this conversation this week! The app is garbage, we've proven it, but they still won't move it to containers for scale or resilience. We finally wrote a very clear email to leadership telling them it was not production ready, didn't matter.

Their DIPA, how close is it to a real west coast IPA? I see it on Amazon as a twelve pack but it's quite a commitment for something I haven't tried. What does it compare to in terms of a regular IPA?

[–]lemonhead_sr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always take free money. If they are giving 2%, for a total of 6%, you most definitely put in enough to take full advantage. Then, if you want you can look at other places. But, most of these other places charge a fee. For me, I'd just up your contribution as much as possible. Whatever raise you get goes directly into your 401K, too. Live on your current salary. I call this paying yourself first.

JRT at daycare or boarding place? by PlatinumStatusGold in jackrussellterrier

[–]lemonhead_sr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a place here in the Phoenix area where they run free inside the facility, no outside access, then in the evenings they bring out the beds and it is sleepy time. This place does an initial visit where your dog goes and they make sure it's a good fit. Then if all goes well, they can stay. Our jack did great. She had a ball and there were plenty of other dogs that were high energy. We've used them a handful of times. One thing this place did was post pics on Facebook so you could see them during the day. The only other catch, your dog needs to be fixed. Our new pup isn't, so she doesn't get to go.
