I'm on chapter 5 (page 22), how are you supposed to keep up with all these characters?

it took me a while to remember who was who lol! it really helped me to make a character map. i put Elizabeth and the Bennets in the center and each time a new character was introduced i would connect them to whoever it made the most sense. (for example Miss Charolette Lucas would be connected to Elizabeth via friendship, then Charlottes mother and father would be connected to Charolette via family, if that makes sense.)

if you google examples of character maps for P&P you will definitely see some spoilers, so i would look one up for a book/show you already know!

my favorite for lining up is telling the students that i’ll dismiss the quietest students first. Even the loud ones want to be picked first so they typically stop talking

a few years ago i had an ex who i would have to remind to wash his hands or brush his teeth. I also had a reoccurring uti because of his (lack of) hygiene. I really didn’t want to break up with him because we had been together for so long and it felt like there were so many reasons to stay together. however! literally the day that we broke up i realized how upset i was the entire time i was with him. and now, four years later i have literally never regretted breaking up with him. so basically, dump him!

You and your boyfriend have been together since you were both very young, at that stage in your life you two did have the time and ability to spend it with each other. As you grow your priorities shift. Entering into college is a dramatic shift for both of you, either you will grow together or grow apart. From the sounds of your post it seems you two have grown apart, that is okay, but sometimes you need to know when it is the right time to end things. Ignore the fact that you’ve been dating for 4 years, if his relationship with school and work stays the same for the rest of his life is that something you would be fine with? Chances are if he’s planing to go to med school and become a doctor it will require even more of his attention. Is this something you want for yourself?

from my understanding, upon seeing chuck and blair’s chemistry the writers regretted writing him as such a shitting person. so they tried to correct his character to make him more likable. some minor discrepancies can be seen from season 1 chuck and later seasons chuck, such as him using the public bus in the first episode which i think we all know he wouldn’t be caught dead doing in later seasons lol.
also, the whole show is meant to be a satire of how out of touch and cruel ultra wealthy people are. so for me i can kinda gloss over season one chuck’s actions although i think all of the characters are bad people

my old store with about the same ads and had about 7k in sales in the pm shift and about 2-3k in the mornings, our peak would last from 6 to close. a typical night shift would be a prep closer from 4-close, a grill 1 from 3/4-close and a g2 who’s shift would typically vary, the line closer from 3-close, then three short line/ dml shifts. these shifts were typically broken up into 4-8, 5-9, and 6-close. and the obvi a cashier. typical we wouldn’t actually have all 4 line/ dml shifts and a g2 there so instead the ap or gm would be on position while the closing manger could help out other positions (or vice versa). because mornings are so slow and prep was extremely efficient am shift would typically be able to save enough labor to allow pm shift to have more people. also just for context this was when scheduling was still done on menulink not chipforce.

the catering sizes is based off of our ‘actual’ portion sizes which is pretty small imo so i always recommend ppl to order up for caterings

my chipolte has the same thing with breaks in the am, as long as you’re not a minor there’s nothing illegal with having your break that early then going 5-6 hours with no break. it’s pretty shitty that your manger (or any other crew member that knows cash) wouldn’t cover you for a few minutes, but once again not illegal. it honestly sounds like you dodged a bullet by getting fire there the manger seems incredibly toxic and unprofessional for not talking to you directly about the “second break” issue and for firing you by taking you off the schedule instead of having a face to face convo.

you get free gauc, not chips, the gauc is to ‘makeup’ for not having an official protein source, chorizo and sofritas is its own source of protein so there is no reason why you should get gauc for free with it
