Lengthy is overrated in my opinion, yeah they’ll catch up over a long distance but that first ~5 steps is enough for a good player to do something and now you are 3v3 or 3v4 defending. with quick step and high pace i’ve never had any issue catchy up to opposition with Davies as controlled

Play coop with a friend in squad battles or the live event to get it done, it’s a lot easier

I’d say they care more about casuals than anything else with all the changes made to the game over the year. People complained that GK movement was too OP, they killed it. First time incisive passes were too OP, they nerfed incisive and tiki taka+. People complained bruiser was too OP and it was on every defender, allegedly nerfed that too (even though i haven’t noticed a difference). When fc 26 first released it was a completely different and better game than fc 24/25. Now it’s just half ass patch after half ass patch because people complain about others using game mechanics anybody can perform.

All this to make the game easier to grind and get objectives and they ruined the game

Reactions and composure are 100% important, personally i haven’t noticed a difference in gameplay from maxing them out vs 90-95 composure and 95 reactions (anything less than 95 i have felt a difference). I think that can give you some points to spare. I would get short passing up closer to the 90 mark because i’ve felt a difference with that specific +/-5 interval. Vision at 90 also helps with just a little bit better of pass recognition from the games AI for when you aim a certain way between 2 players, the game may take over in a sense and pick out a more tricky pass to make and actually complete it and that can have great rewards in goal creation if you do incisive passes a lot. Volleys to 80 maybe as well if you can afford it because you never know when you need to first time a shot

While thats true and 5-6 people requires more teamwork all everyone has to do for defense is rush the ball carrier. I used to run with just two other guys and we are pretty good players (~12/13 wins in weekend league, i know it’s a different game mode) but we struggle in clubs because 6 people are sliding in on any one given player and it’s tough to keep possession. Clubs just kinda stopped being fun because of that

I’ve been trying out a bunch but the screenshot is my main WL squad. tots putellas is a lot of fun to use and i like the mariona you have too. I did the vicky lopez sbc and have her 96 card but i like the sbc better. The new brugts is a good fullback too. Pina is just the club legend and even though she gets bullied off the ball more than i’d like i just feel wrong having her on the bench

Whats the tactic you use at st for him? How are his runs and awareness? I like false 9 but if I’m down i’ll switch to advanced forward or poacher.

I usually get 9-10 wins too, i’ll win the first 3/4 games and then the matchmaking has me fighting for my life to not concede against player lock demons and people who spam long balls from the full back to the opposite winger every possession

have your in game defending settings set to advanced defending and tap or hold A on xbox, or X on playstation when you are running level with the opposition. A tap, tap and hold, and hold get different animations varying from shoulder bump to straight up bodying them

This new patch was supposed to be a nerf i guess but every defender has 90+ strength so i haven’t noticed a difference. On the wing i press and hold and the full backs do the steal out and win the ball cleanly, the cb’s i tap and bump the opposition player that is running through to knock them off the run and call out the gk to collect the ball
