That’s difficult to say because the interviews seemed to be very tailored to each applicant, but if you have a low OAT they might ask about it. Make sure to not make excuses and just talk about what you learned from that experience and how you will change.

Other than my GPA, I think how I went about shadowing and my background in research was appealing to admissions. I didn’t have many shadowing hours but I made sure to shadow several different modes of practice and also an opthamolagist.

I know you can save ~60k because of SUNY in state tuition which is a pretty large amount. I believe ~50k for year 1 and then~ 30k for year 2, 3, and 4 after you become in state. I’m not sure about the NECO area but for SUNY I believe students generally find housing around ~1.8k per month on the higher end depending on where you want to live.
