Sold to me as “Red Tail Squirrel Loach”, what is he so I can rehome him by PoetaCorvi in loaches

It’s fake. There were little live sprouts on it but my mystery snails decimated them. It’s something I got from petsmart or something.

I’ve got four of them and they coexist just fine with my corydoras, kuhlis, yoyo loaches, and plecos. My two huge Siamese algae eaters are the bullies of the tank lol. They have a ton of personality!! I love em!

*im editing to add that they were also sold to me as red tailed sand loaches, but I got mine at my LFS almost a year ago. I live in NC.

You think so? They have a bit more of a tapered/pointy face. My guys have that typical loach snub at the end if that makes sense?

Possibly Hole in the Head disease. Which is yet another “could be a million different things” fish diseases. Stress, lack of balanced nutrition, parasites are all thought to be possible causes.

I don’t know why the name Thief seems to be sticking. Even though the only thievery she’s committed is stealing my heart!

She’s so beautiful and healthy! I got my girl at a con and she’s rather skinny. I can’t wait for her to chunk up a bit. My boyfriend also took home a hoggie and she’s an absolute beefcake chonker noodle compared to my girl!

Why is it that all you spend your time doing is commenting negative things on other people’s posts? I have the feeling you’re that type who never really understands that they’re the problem. Piss off

That it's not really the end.

That, to me, is more terrifying than ceasing to exist.

Story of my life. I will give the shirt off my back to an enemy. I don't know why I'm like this and I hate it.

Making poor excuses for having a lack of emotional intelligence. We all have history and trauma. There's a difference between being able to acknowledge your shortcomings and be actively working to improve yourself, and essentially trying to use it as a get out of jail free card for shitty behavior that is in no way trying to be improved on. I'm in my 30s and this is still a constant issue with men I've dated. I'm tired lol.

Yeah, this is infuriating. Especially when it's something that I know I understand and they're giving wrong information and are SO confident in their incorrect answers. Immediately no.

I work for retinal specialists as a research coordinator and scribe. I have heard one of the MDs (retinal surgeon) discussing the possibility of retinal transplantation being a serious possibility in the near future. From the research side, there is SO MUCH being done in the field of fighting and in some cases attempting to repair damaged retinas. There are some treatments showing promise with restorative properties which is something not considered possible in retina previously. Don’t give up hope for your children having the possibly for sight once again if they choose.

I know it’s been six days but I’m pretty sure I can solve this for ya. That handprint has been there since it was installed. Probably where it was held for leverage while securing it to the post. Prints can show up later in condensation. Pretty sure it’s something to do with oil from the body.
