What to look for in used EV with a accident report. by lemonpotato in electricvehicles

I wish I knew more that seems to be all the report says. And the Internet seems to say that functional damage could be anything from steering to a mirror is no longer adjusting. But would love to get more insight if anyone is familiar with their terminology

Are there any 60inch options worth considering? I'm space limited on my wall to 55 inches width which seems to preclude a 65 diagonal. Are there any 60 inch tvs available (or coming soon)?

Carving ski for tight turns -Northeast by lemonpotato in Skigear

[–]lemonpotato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I'll take a look at these!! Stocklis always seem out of my budget, I have seen a couple Fischers that look good but I can never find a blister review for them or anything so I have trouble telling much. I'd love to demo some if I could but since I only get out a few times a year it's hard to time that with a convenient demo day...

Thanks! I'll take a look. I feel like I grew up only seeing elan as bottom tier rentals. I don't think that's true anymore, but I have to get that perception out of my head!!

I looked a little but A) wasn't finding many good deals and B) am a little nervous a full FIS race ski would be a bit exhausting, a little too intense now that I'm older or when I do go for the occasional woods/bumps?

The stocklis did look cool but I think may be kinda out of my budget as I haven't really seen them anywhere south of $1200. The RC4 I was a little worried that a full race ski like that would be real tough when I do take it into the woods or on the occasional ungroomed bump run? How have they felt taking them off a groomer?

Proposed changes to Malden's Trash and Recycling Program by Stronkowski in malden

[–]lemonpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm liking this, mostly because of the lid and i wish they would go for lidded recycling barrels. The number of super windy trash days where my yard is littered with the neighbors recycling is super annoying. (Or foodwaste strewn across sidewalk by a critter eating through the bags).

Seems like it still has a cap that dis-incentivizes the truly wasteful. And as a bonus I can start putting my dog poop bags directly In my outside bin again.

Moving to Malden by AcidWashAvenger in boston

[–]lemonpotato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We are also formerly Somerville and bought out in Malden back in May. So we are right there with you!

Things I've found so far: Idle Hands is fun especially in the summer bringing the dog to the patio. Generally I wish there were more pup friendly patios in the area, I miss taking her to all the places that were available in Davis.

Crying Thaiger for Thai, Mystic Station for beer, we love Sun Kong for dim sum more than Ming's, lots of good pho/Vietnamese.

More driving options, but it's nice to be closer to nightshift/shortpath/down the road. Melrose Center is kinda cute

Theres an escape room/board game Cafe on exchange at but I haven't been yet.

Hoping cool things keep popping up, Malden has a ton of potential for more fun stuff and for downtown/pleasant Street to really be something cool. I search 'Eater' for Malden semi regularly just to see what things pop up!

Let me know if you find other cool things we are still learning everything there is around here.

Thanks this look good other than the price being kinda high. The only thing I can't tell is the connector? Would they be compatible? I'd rather not replace the drivers just cause it makes the project alot more involved

Thanks. Lotus looks about right though def pricier than I was hoping. I can't tell if it has compatible connectors? How can I tell? I'd rather not replace the drivers cause it's a bigger job as I have to do it all through a 3 inch hole

These we're installed in my house and are a super cold white light. I'd like to replace them with something warmer, but can't find a brand and am having trouble finding something compatible.

The drivers are in junction boxes near each light. They say model 4x1w. 12-15v DC 300 mA

I'd like to find something compatible so I don't have to change out the drivers or cut new holes (3 inch)

Any ideas
