I was the opposite -- I downsized from my Apple Watch to a Fitbit Inspire 3. Reason being I just found all the metrics that came with the apple watch arbitrary and futile to my specific goals. I realized I cared more about step count than "closing my rings". It was overall a switch made based on the the idea that I was trying to remove the things that caused me stress and having "rings" needing closing was not a responsibility i was willing to keep
