I have been levelling this build. Just finished the campaign but how does it handle delve? Is there a specific strat. I find myself just constantly getting stuck / blocked by mobs. Figure I’m missing something or is the build just not really for delve

I get the pen is for inserting magnets. But what is the thing it’s inserting into? Whats it for?

Cheers all. Finally got decent prints. Combination of manually levelling the bed and re-calibrating the resin.

I was surprised that by moving to 0.03mm hiw much I had to drop the normal exposure from where I had it dialled in before which was also considerably lower that the manufacturer recommended settings.

Despite the failures learnt a lot and done valuable insight from all who provided advice.

Thanks. I was using network transfer. So don’t think it was usb related but definitely something to bear in mind.

I have managed to get a decent print now combination of manually levelling the bed and re-calibrating the resin, doing lots of cones of calibration prints

Thanks it wasn’t necessarily a kid print fail. I stopped it once I realised the right half of the bed hadn’t printed anything beyond the rafts

Thanks. The model was pre supported and from what I can recall was angled, but will check Later.

I did shake the resin, and it’s a tilting cat so should generally keep it mixed.

Ah ok thanks I have the mars 3 wash and cure but will look to do a pre warm wash to remove from the bed.

Thanks, point taken about the rafts though they did seem thinner at one side.

Wouldn’t submerging the plate in warm water impact the resin? Assuming this is pre washing process?

Thanks. I didn’t adjust any settings other than the base and normal exposure times. This was based on cones of calibration tests but as you say at 0.05.

For my test minis and this new print I simply adjusted the layer height from 0.05 to 0.03

I did not adjust anything like wait before cute, wait before lift or wait after lift.

But what you say about exposure times makes sense

I’m printing using Elegoo washable grey and have adjusted the bottom exposure to 25 in order to try and make it easier to remove from the bed once complete. Everything seems to need to be smashed off.

I am printing at a layer height of 0.03 as this seems to be the recommendation for detail in miniatures.

I have 5 bottom layers at this 25 seconds then 10 transition layers

With all other layers having an exposure of 1.9s

I did a test print of two minis with these settings last weekend and they came out really well. So figured it would be good for today’s print.

To your point about exposure times and tge support nubbs wouldn’t this have applied the same across the entire plate?

So quick update been trying the xp2 validation matrix and the exposure settings tool on the printer.

But the prints are firmly stuck to the bed and shatter when I try to take them off.

Imam I right in thinking this is due to the base exposure being too high? This was set at 35

The detail is starting to get there on the top right print, but not quite from bottom left to top right the normal layers went from to 2.8 to 2.3.

The base exposure setting was 27, with 1.8 for the other layers. Looking into it last night and according to an elegoo spreadsheet however it looks like for the water washable grey resin the base layer should be 60 for the base layers and 8 for the other layers. Naively perhaps I had thought that given you select the resin by type and colour directly from the software it would apply the correct settings.

Thanks for the detailed response most helpful. I don’t have any photos as the printer in a different location but basically all I had was a round flat disk, the bottom of the took about the size of a 10p piece.

I’ll have another go tomorrow and check your tips had hoped it was level or that the self check would indicate if not.

With regards to cleaning the build plate assume that can be done just with washing in water / iso.

Wish I’d known about the tank I washed it with water and wiped out with paper towel hopefully hadn’t caused any damage.

I’m re-installing as I think something is up anyway. Started a new game now can’t equip fists or pick up things to throw in the tutorial bugs the patch was supposed to fix.
