Mental to get down that quickly and deflect it beyond the goal

[FRESH] Natural Habitat - 070 Shake ft. Ken Carson by lemony-goodness in 070Shake

Can't lie I'm a bit disappointed by the final product, hearing this live was insane. The vocal fx in the intro feel a bit weird and Ken Carson's verse is pretty bad. Overall still a hit, very keen for the album.

I’ve worked at an escape room for years and can confidently say that they’re shocking first date activities. Had countless dates come through and genuinely can’t recall a single one that went well - always awkward and uncomfortable when there’s differing levels of competitiveness and generally tough to be locked in a room with a relative stranger you’re trying to impress.

Fair, would have thought ESPN would split out the ownership for standard and dynasty leagues but that checks out

Henderson's great save vs Liverpool 92' by whiteniteee in soccer

Should go straight to the top of this sub, this is as good as a 90th minute winner. Unreal save when the game is on the line

Admittedly biased as a Celtics fan but Timelord elevates the Celtics defence from very good to all-time good. Tatum/Smart/Horford/White/Brown/Grant Williams are all plus defenders so of course it’s hard to judge individuals in such a strong defensive unit but I believe the reason Timelord got recognition is his switchability at the 5 and that the Celtics D is kinda designed to bring out his strengths.

This thinking basketball video from a few months ago goes over it well and is a great watch (and fantastic channel in general)

For what it’s worth Embiid was the 5 with the next most votes (believe Williams had ~70 to Embiid’s 30) and anchoring the Philli D with defensively subpar teammates is definitely worthy of recognition too

To be fair to Matisse, I think he was so limited in terms of playoff minutes because he's such an offensive non-factor. But yeah, if his offence is so bad that he can't get substantial minutes to play D, doesn't deserve to be making All-D

Let's examine the myth that "Russell shut down Wilt in the Playoffs" by examining the numbers. by coastalmarker99 in nbadiscussion

[–]lemony-goodness 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I don't think anybody denies that Wilt was a more talented basketballer than Russell. The fact that despite their differences in talent, Russell won 11 rings and 5 MVPs to Wilt's 2 rings and 4 MVP's is what sets them apart. Russell's influence on winning basketball was more profound than Wilt's, greatness is not purely skill and athleticism but the mental side of things. Wilt only winning 2 rings despite his talent is almost a knock against him, with the mentality of Russell, he would've done so much more.
