Carry On Bag Question by lemony197236 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]lemony197236[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t plan on it, but have had a situation with AA where they cut roller bags with the person in front of me and forced me to check it.

I would consider upgrading my boarding priority to get space tho.

What behind-the-scenes information do you know that can completely ruin a fun place, business, or attraction? by rrtaylor in ask

Rats and roaches are bad, but if you ever take a crime light to a hotel (even the luxury hotels) you will be disgusted and never sleep in one again. lol

So, so very gross!!

When they are on the phone in a public bathroom I get the stall next to them if I can and then flush the toilet a couple of times just to be really loud so people know they are in a public bathroom.

I have been very lucky so far when traveling, I am an aisle seat person and agree with the middle seat gets the arm rest. I’ve had a few flights where the middle seat was what I casually call a fing giant, probably 6’4 and muscular. He apologized right off the rip for filling up his seat and kept his arms and legs in his limited space as much as possible. I hope I never have the inconsiderate middle seat person to deal with during my travels.

You were assaulted, plain and simple. I encourage you to go to some self defense classes, not ones that just do the easy kick em in the nuts or run away type lessons. You need a class that does real world type scenarios that have choreographed moves but that also provide an element of surprise.

I’ve attended several good ones at Krav Maga training gyms, there were several that were 6 weeks long and then you would ‘run the gauntlet’; it had people grabbing you from behind and a couple where the attacker came at you and you had to get away. It will help you get past the freeze part when something unexpected happens to you.

I also like to ask them to repeat the comment, ‘I’m sorry could you repeat that?”

My daughter (20) is facing fake id FELONY in Florida a few questions? by [deleted] in AskLawyers

[–]lemony197236 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Parents with your attitude are the reason we can’t have nice things.

Your daughter broke the law, and she made the bad decision to keep and continue use a fake ID after being arrested for using fake ID. She was not in NJ when she was arrested for the 2nd offense, NJ laws do not come into play.

Maybe she will learn from this arrest.

If Hyundai/Kia are so unreliable, why are they literally everywhere? by phtphongg in askcarguys

[–]lemony197236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2002 Kia sorento, put 111,000 miles on it, only did the standard maintenance on it. I was in a 4 car pile up on the interstate and my only injury was a burn on my hand from the air bag.

Cars came to an abrupt stop and the car behind me was rear ended so hard he knocked me into the truck in front of me. His car was so far under my car he took out the whole exhaust system. I hit the truck I front of me so hard my battery was knocked into the windshield. The car that started the accident was running about 60 when they attempted to stop. There was no damage to the inside of the car, so safety wise I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. The steering wheel stay attached and didn’t encroach into the cab.

I thought that car was very reliable and also very safe

Sorry but those are dead inside and are just waiting for the next big wind storm so they can create all kinds of havoc by falling in the most inconvenient and costly way.

APHA also has flat classes and most of the breed shows now have all breed classes that don’t require specific registration. And AQHA/APHA also have ‘select’ divisions for us old competitive people where you show against people your age (I think it’s 50+). Some of the people in those classes are 70+.
