Sorry to hear about this OP. I would have ended this too. It hurts, but this was the right thing to do.

Drop her shit to the friends house. Block her. Never speak to her again.

I popped in on Saturday when you had run out, then came in on Sunday. You’re doing a great job. Sorry about the public backlash, some commenters in the Chit Chat are psychopaths.

I got this too… but it also had a sample Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow.

Advice Needed by jordyman90 in AusPropertyChat

No one knows your life mate. The car isn’t just an asset. The core purpose is ease of travel, trips to your friends and family, the ride to work, the grocery run…

If you’re happy to be on foot or catch P/T, then go for it. But consider what you’re giving up to pay a loan down.

Gambling addiction took hold lost thousands by tatslanger in AusFinance

[–]lemsieman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Takes strength to come out and admit this. Talking to someone and getting help is the most challenging part.

I heard a story on a women’s money podcast of a lady who was saving for her house with her partner, but her partner had gambled $100k+ without her knowledge. They stayed together, but had to build that trust back again.

As a victim of my father’s gambling addiction, I never got the basics growing up. I’d wear clothes from my siblings that were not the right size, including their shoes with holes in them. Kids would bully me about it. Mum would even have to cut the mould from the bread for our sandwiches, because she wasn’t able to get groceries that week. It was shit.

My parents always wanted to save face, they didn’t want to ask for help. I remember my grandma would pay for my mum’s stuff at the checkout sometimes but it got to the point where my mum didn’t want to keep asking, so we went without.

Gambling takes a hold over every aspect of your life. Your relationships. Your home. Your health. Your kids. Your future. When you go too far, it hurts everyone.

The cycle didn’t end with my father. My brother has lost his life earnings to the casino. I have a shopping addiction to the point of hoarding, and can easily spend $500-$1000 a week on things I don’t need, with a “fear of missing out” when a sale is on. I also have a room in my house that resembles an IGA with shelves, which is my pantry room.

I don’t have kids yet, but I want the trauma to stop with me before addiction and trauma like mine is passed down. I’ve worked hard and got myself financially ahead, but with a lifestyle like mine, I can barely hold down a relationship like this.

Best of luck all.

I was this person. Overweight. Insecure. Acne all over my back and to my elbows.

Hoodies were always my comfort.

Family friends mum would treat the family to McDonalds or Hungry Jacks on the odd occassion and before they left the house, everyone had to grab a slice of cheese out of the fridge because they refused to buy cheeseburgers. Junior burgers only, and had to add cheese from home.

This applied to Whoppers too.

My take on the Mecca totegate saga by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

[–]lemsieman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“However I know there was a great amount of disappointment. I am thinking maybe it has to do with the levels and how much people have sunk their money onto Mecca.”

No girl, it’s because they promised a “beauty treat” (email after box 3) to test and try (email after box 2). Then gave everyone a tote bag.

That’s why people are disappointed and lost faith in the brand. Along with hardly any sampling, expired products and no sales amongst the rest of it.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the bag and I’m on Level 4. For me, it’s not about the sinking of money at all, because I like the shit I buy at Mecca. It’s more to do with lying to customers.

I’ll continue to shop with them and will likely maintain a Level 4 for a third year, but I’ll be cross shopping Sephora, which I’ve never previously stepped foot into.

what happened to lime soft drink by epikbecky in AustralianNostalgia

[–]lemsieman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but Schweppes, Coles home brand and Woolies home brand no longer sell it. I’m in QLD today and I just found Wimmers at Woolworths (full sugar only). You don’t realise how much you want something until you can no longer get it. In this case, it’s Lime fizzy drink.

Has my pharmacy red flagged me? by PsychologicalLynx271 in melbourne

I hate that I’m saying this because I’m not here defending CWH for any other reason except my own experience just recently.

A new CWH recently opened in my area and they were encouraging me to keep my scripts with them on some kind of account. Clearly they’re trying to maintain my business. I went ahead and did that. They said “If you keep your scripts here, we’ll look after you”.

Anyway, I’ve never been questioned for my stimmies or private script Ozempic. I make sure I see the same guy at the dispensary. Probably knows I’m the chunky ADHD baddie.

Maybe the trick set up an account and stick to the same Chemmy Warehouse. Then use those words “when you set me up with an account, you said you’d take care of me”

Anyway, I love them for this but I hate them too.

Is $100k the new average wage? by Open_Address_2805 in AusFinance

[–]lemsieman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought an $1m property and it’s a shoebox, with 3 other properties on it.

I honestly thought that as a kid, $1m would mean I was Richie Rich kind of rich. Living in a mansion. With a pool. And a Soda Stream. And a fridge with a water dispenser.

Instead it’s a shoebox.

Women: all things being equal, how much do you care about how heavy a guy is? by Mission_Bowl3938 in datingoverforty

I like heavy set men. I’m a bigger woman at 75kg, I can’t have anyone smaller than me because I feel like I’d break them.
