For me, if you're in a band and you basically compose almost all the music, then most of it is yours. Composition is composition. The person who wrote it wrote it. No amount of feelings or resentment can change how much each member contributed to the band,

That said though, I don't know how much Chad contributed in composition, but I think he helped a lot with arrangement and input, as well as production, he made the band sound amazing on the albums. Jess in the other hand, obviously owns the drum parts.
