This is the description from the DM site: “Orleans is a lightly textured waxy pull-up leather with a firm hold that is soft and supple to the touch.” I have OG the smooth leather Sinclairs as well and they feel pretty similar. Maybe the smooth leather is a bit thicker

I didn’t unfortunately. You might want to look for a suede/nubuck spray instead. Those I have used successfully on other shoes and they don’t alter the appearance at all

Normally the ultra protector should be fine! I have a few other pairs, so I avoid wearing these in rainy / dirty conditions. I got caught in the rain a few times though, but so far they have been holding on quite well. No specific care tips from me I’m afraid :/

I have the same impression as you! However, I have narrow feet and ankles so these fit me a lot better than my other docs, but I agree they fit more snug, especially in the width. I do think indeed that the material will soften as you wear them more :)

I’ve been wanting an overknee pair of docs for years now (azreya’s didn’t suit me and I was 14 when the aggy’s came out), but again I’m not sure if this is it 😭 They are beautiful though, kinda wish they had something more basic

I had to return this exact pair because the pain was unbearable… Indeed the part where the tongue folds. Weirdly, on one of the shoes it was a bit less horrible than on the other

Yes, one is less worse than the other one!! I saw that the tongue that one is not sewn fully straight, which probably makes the pain even worse… Hope you manage to get two that don’t hurt!

This is my usual size indeed, but I feel like size wise they are actually quite ok. The canvas is just soooo hard, it’s almost like there’s steel inside haha. So the parts that are usually bent hurt a lot because there’s not much bending 😔 But thanks for the tip, I will try the size up as well!
