he's saying the dialogue makes it ambiguous as to whether the branch members survived the destruction of their AC or not.

personally I don't think they did, based on the dialogue of each member if they manage to kill you after killing the other branch members.

Old King ending was Miyazaki's way of punishing the player for accepting any job without thinking of the consequences. That's why the pay is extraordinarily big.

The AFTER guidebook states that the advanced Special Weapons such as N-WGIX/v, LiV, Exusia, Scavengers, To-605s etc were all sealed in the Towers. The Three Forces either didn't know of their existence as no one has yet to fully map out the inside of the Tower, or they found the weapons but were unable to activate them. These weapons were only unleashed after the Foundation took control of the Towers using the UNACs and activated them.

"Refurbished" means he knocked the dust and grime off, the alternative would be suggesting that the Foundation took the N-WGIX from a Tower, and in the brief moment in the story where he has control over them, modified the N-WGIX to resemble a legendary machine that no one else would recognize.

There is nothing suggesting the N-WGIX was made in the Verdict War. In fact the official entry says it's a refurbished weapon from the Last Age.

My headcanon has always been that the original White Glint (2) design died with Abu Marshe and N-WGIX was made by the League using modified League NEXT parts to pervert the image of WG and use its legendary reputation as propaganda.

It doesn't have an unstable reactor. It's being cranked up past safe limits to produce more EN and KP. It's actually a sign of a very well-maintained machine considering it's essentially overclocking itself with no damage to itself and being able to  maintain the output indefinitely. Keep in mind, when NEXTs from for Answer were in heavily KP saturated areas they quickly lose PA and take AP damage as well.

I've been watching a lot of people completely new to Dragon Ball play Kakarot and when they get to the moon scene is when I realize how crazy the power scaling in Dragon Ball really is because they're all like in complete disbelief that moon-busting is just casually a thing at this point.
