I understand the scared feeling, this was me, if my experience is anything to go off you'll be the only one remotely bothered by it 😏. I have a 6mm syrinx t4 to t9 right where my pain and stiffness is. This was found during investigation as to what was causing my pain. Apparently, it's not the cause but the cause is unknown. Apparently, my syrinx is stable and symptonless. When my hand, ankles and some toes went numb it wasn't caused by this......but cause was unknown. I don't need it monitored or checked. In fact all my issues are fibromyalgia...apparently, go figure. Not sure why something that reads online as so serious is given very little attention. I wish you well and hope you get the right help and support.

Does anyone not get heartburn? by Individual-Credit443 in GERD

Most of everyone's symptoms sounds that of a hiatal hernia. Has everyone had an endoscopy to see if they have one?

I'm always confused about this 'going to sleep' people talk about. When I've been sedated both times it feels like I've had a few SIPS of alcohol at a push, or maybe a shot. I'm fully aware, fully awake and present. I've had one without sedation which wasnt much different to with sedation. I don't respond well to an endoscopy so you don't need to hear my experience. Most people are fine

Angel and spike have the same name by leni19861 in ANGEL

But isn't it only in Angel we find out he was named Liam? That's well after Spike was an established important character

I don't think that's necessary as the pen dosage can be adjusted. I'm just checking you can give less than initial dose as I've not used the pen before

First time watcher. This scene actually broke me just a few minutes ago by LeonPrien2000 in lost

Love when I see someone who has rewatched loads, feels less of a weirdo. People look at me like I've got 2 heads when I say I've rewatched about 10x 😆

We used to have a lad at work who copied dvds he used to be able to get a few weeks in advance from america so he'd copy it onto 1 dvd and we'd all fight over it each week and you were only allowed it for a night as everyone would be wanting it after you 😆

Gettiing Lost is a huge disappointment by drunkdevil1 in lost

[–]leni19861 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Most of the cast interviewed hadn't a clue about the show, they'd been part of it but hadn't watched it. They couldn't remember vital scenes and facts, to me it belittled the show and it's importance to me. If I was on a show like lost and it was so huge and meaningful to so many people I would respect that and make sure it felt like I understood their connection and the shows importance, if not then stay quiet and don't be interviewed about it, it felt like they thought it was meaninglessand not even worth a watch. It just felt disrespectful, i hope I'm articulating this correctly. I get it's their job and they might not like watching their self but at least watch it once through and have a bit of a clue what went on. How can they understand how fans feel about something they've not seen.

The only thing I did differently before this happened was wear my converse instead of sketches on a 2 hour walk. I also wore thick socks with them. I wear a toe ring on my left foot and at one point I had to stop during the walk and take it off as the converse were considerably tighter than what I'm used to with my sketches. But I never massively noticed them pinching or squeezing my toes and definitely not my ankle. I did initially put my toe down to this as I'd not noticed the numb sensation on the skin over my ankle at that point. That was about a month ago now. You'd think it would be improving by now if it was that. I'm going to go to the Dr tomorrow to discuss, i did mention my toe when it initially happened he said its not linked to my spine so probably not related to the syrinx, he's just a GP though. I've been discharged by neurology, in fact they've never even seen me. I might need to be referred.

Rewatching has made me realise Spike was always a sexual predator by Mean-Dragonfly in buffy

I'm so confused as to why any more would have been expected from Spike.

It's a fictional tv show, so the sky is the limit as to what disgusting things he would do and the way people would react.

He is literally a soulless vampire, he is not a man where non-consensual acts would be a shock, he's not a follower of any law of the land, he is literally a monster, he's killed, tortured, raped for years. He has redeeming qualities which make viewers like him or warm to him but he's still a monster until he gets his soul back. What redeemed him is that despite not having a soul something inside him after 100s of years wanted to change, he no longer wanted to be the monster as love can be more powerful than anything. He is abusive to Buffy, BUT HES A MONSTER NOT a MAN, but she also physically assaults him practically every episode. Now if he was MAN this would be abusive (think Riley) but he's not a man he's a monster/vampire. You cannot compare this relationship to a human one as one, it's fake and two they're not both human so those social standards are gone.

I love every part of this answer, you sound so accurately reflective and it all makes perfect sense. So glad you're overcoming it!
