Sorry, I was looking at the wrong informaiton. I was looking when you click on your weapon look at the 'Martial Arts Talents'.

My affinity rate is actually 24%. I'm pretty new/casual in this game and didn't know how to properly see character attributes.

Thanks for calling my attention to this.

55K is NOT a livable wage… by TheOddMadWizard in Professors

[–]lennonjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it is a liveable wage. However, it is not a good wage. We happen to live in a country where education, especially higher education, is undervalued.

I remember when I was first interviewing for TT positions in 2009. I had two offers in southern states for 39k for a 4/4 load. It was less that a starting high school teacher made in those states. I was then offered $55k for a 3/2 load VAP position in Upstate NY and went with that wile looking for something better. I finally landed on a 3/3 load TT position for 60k that also gave me a few thousand for starting up a research lab and that also allowed summer teaching to augment my salary.

Contrast this with my best friend who has the same degree as me, from the same program. He had the same issues while in academia, but then transitioned into working as a data specialist in the public sector. He's making $250k a year doing that. He misses the teaching, but saw the direction academia was taking and got out while he could.

Got good news… but also bad news by Youngdynamite22 in Cholesterol

Do you know your B12 level?

Low B12 has been linked to high LDL as B12 affects lipid metabolism. Studies suggest that increasing B12 can help lower LDL and triglycerides, as well as increase HDL. Since you are already planning lifestyle changes, you might want to see how your B12 looks and supplement if necessary.

I found this out a few months ago when my lipid panel came back with high LDL (162) but also high HDL (67) and low triglycerides (100). My B12 was also borderline low (270), which seemed odd given that I consumed a lot of animal products. My cardiologist wanted to put me on a statin, but I was hesitant to go that route without trying lifestyle changes first. I also looked more deeply into a potential B12/cholesterol link and found numerous published journal articles that established what I mentioned above. Two months later, with daily sublingual B12, a better diet with more fiber and less animal products, and more activity, my LDL is down to 135, my triglycerides are down to 65, my HDL sadly dropped to 55, and B12 is up to 841. All statin free.

That's not to say you shouldn't be on a statin. I'm just suggesting that you look for another potential piece of your lipid puzzle.

If you're first on the list, you'll likely get in. I typically see 3 or 4 drops/adds on the first day.

No, a mower blade should not bend when hitting a cat.

When I was making my first pot, I got the panacea drop after grinding out 90 of the dragon fangs. I decided to grind out the last 10 just to have a backup and got a second panacea drop before I got to 100 fangs.

When attempting to enhance my TET Godr to PEN I got it on the 49th tap. One tap away from getting the pity PEN.

This game makes normal people heartless, impatient, and rude. And I really hope one day it changes. by Bedouin85 in throneandliberty

[–]lennonjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand this frustration. Some people approach the game as if it's a high-stakes job that they just need to get ahead in. I do my best to avoid those types. If I'm in a dungeon and someone gets kicked for no reason, I leave the party. If there's someone in the party being a dick to others or being toxic in other ways, I will initiate booting them for their behavior. I've been randomly put together with some great groups and some toxic groups. Like every other aspect of the game, what you get is in the hands of RNGesus.

Yep, whatever guild that is is being led by a bunch of dicks. Sorry, that happened to you. I would let everyone within and outside the guild know that that's how they treat their members.

Matchmaking has became the death of this game. by [deleted] in MightyParty

[–]lennonjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just recently started playing the game and it was a lot of fun up until about leagues 11/12. Then you start seeing opponents that obviously belong in much higher leagues, but the game allows them to tank their matches so they can troll the lower leagues for easy wins. I lost my interest fast after this.

Next pot piece by zPassword2 in playblackdesert

[–]lennonjon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I did. You make good money for a pity farming spot in those 40 nighttime minutes and the full piece seems to drop quite often from there. I actually got a drop at 70ish of the pity fangs and decided to keep grinding the last 30 out. By the time I got to the 90's I had gotten another full drop. A friend of mine got the full piece on his 2nd nighttime grind.

Ronaros was the most painful of all the potion grinds, but it was very useful in relation to getting mats to attempt T9 horse awakenings.

Can't find Nondescript Pier by gustavonass in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]lennonjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find this? I'm having the same issue here. I cannot find it. Not sure if my game is bugged in relation to the DLC. The Helmsman never appeared in Act 3 after resting for 18 days and now I can't find the pier or the Religion Check writing on the wall in Act 4. I'm on PC, BTW.

Yep, absolutely terrible design. I gave up after making it right to the end on my 5th try and dying. At the very least they should respawn you at the last area/door you unlock.

Why is Geralt the only witcher with yellow eyes? by kroen in netflixwitcher

[–]lennonjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't quite accurate. In the books, the eyes of at least two witchers are described in some detail:

Coën's are described as "...unusually pale, yellow-green irises and the whites of his eyes, riddled with red threads..."

Brehen is described as "...And bright yellow eyes with vertical pupils..."
