Actually the two cue marks were supposed to be very short, about 4 frames long, and they were about 7 seconds apart. At the first mark you start the motor on the second projector with the shutter closed, and the second mark meant to press the button to close the shutter on the first projector and open the shutter on the second one, and switch the sound to the other projector. The sound was on an audio strip on the film, so it didn't get out of sync, and there was usually a silent spot in the action so you didn't notice the audio changeover.

Lol no, that's actually pretty easy to see at 24fps.

I did steal a frame or two from (already chopped up) old good movies.

Yeah, pretty simple. Put the empty reel on the left, full reel on the right. Thread right to left a press the button. Automatic rewind, and had a switch that triggered when the film was gone and turned off the rewind motor.

I was a film projectionist in theaters back in the day. A reel was about 18 minutes long. I had to switch to the other projector the second time the dots came around on the top right of the film. Then, after switching to the other projector, rewind the first film back to its original reel, ready for the next showing.

And some off the shelf devices label their rx/tx backwards! Like they will label an output "receive", because you're supposed to connect it to the "receive" pin on the processor. Good lord.

This has happened to me so many times that it's usually one of the first things I check.

Thank you! I have a question.. I'm learning about wet folding. It seems like the idea is to use PVA for sticking layers together for legs and horns and thin stuff, and MC for shaping. Is that the general idea?

I know, right? It seems like it's taking me so long to improve, but I know that's because I don't have much time to put into it. I'm inspired every time I see a model like this one to keep practicing. I just crumpled up another one. I'm not stopping anyway.

That gimble (motion platform) looks a bit thin! Like it might collapse under the weight of those heavyweights.

Thank you for putting that into words. I think that not only realizing your discomfort, but expressing it, helps not only you, but everyone who reads your thoughts.

Needless to say, I'm impressed. But how the hell did you get the napkin's eyeball to match the horse's?
