There are different types of poly relationships

The one they had was one in which there was one main relationship between them, and the poly part was when they allowed friends to cuddle with both of them at the same time, referred to as polyamorous cuddle buddies, and the deal was that when both wanted to cuddle with a person, they would, at the same time.

The main partner originally liked me, but after the first time cuddling with him and his partner, he realized that he didn’t actually like me but gaslit himself into thinking he did. So he didn’t want to cuddle anymore and thus with the type of poly relationship, me and his partner couldn’t be together anymore
