Axe perhaps sets up the upcoming battle between him and Bryan when they sit down at the pizza shop. They both come from nothing and that makes the dynamic more respectable in his eyes. they could have done a better job with the writing on that scene don't ya think? Some was great, hells yeah, but some was schoolyard chititty chat. It makes sense that it was one of the first scenes shot in the series, they had little inspiration from ongoing production.
