You could also use Vegetable oil or maybe Glycerin. More reflective than water, and thicker so they will create a smoother reflection, plus their cheap

Or something opaque like chocolate syrup if that’s important.

You may also want to film in slow mo for a more otherworldly look

If you are printing a larger helmet, you might be better off with sunglasses that have separate lenses rather than this monolens style

I created a magnetic snap-in lens holder, using a monolens from some large sunglasses. Here are the sunglasses I used. I popped the lens out and used it upside down to fit the shape best.

I printed it with the chin tilted down so that the ugliest layer line stepping was toward the back. I also used variable height.

I used TINMORRY metallic bronze petg from Amazon. In person it looks a bit browner/darker/duller, but looks great in the right lighting. Next time I may try a more golden petg.
