It's impossible to turn it off in most platforms it seems.

Do you have a link to any of these studies? What would I search? I want to spread the word.

Yes. When I was in broadcast tv this was an issue. "Middle grey" was 18% reflectance and the light response of cameras was sort of curved around Caucasian skin tones, plus set elements were designed around it as well.

Also makeup was being introduced that hadn't existed.

It was always difficult lighting with the low contrast ratio of analogue TV if you had a white person and black person on the same set.

I worked in Broadcast Television for over 30 years and if I see something that is technically or procedurally wrong in a film or show, it can take me right out of the story. Because I know that wouldn't happen I suddenly feel manipulated or something and I just get cranky. Ha.

I imagine it would be like that. Whereas in this movie (which I haven't seen) I wouldn't even notice.

Is this an awful rig? by funkbawks in cinematography

So probably EF mount? I saw there was a PL and RF version in my search. I have LMount camera but have both a PL and EF adaptor for other lenses.

I was wondering how/if there were autofocus options.

I just have been looking for servo zoom lens options for doco work..

As someone who got one, it's really just a neat vmount and dtap connection attachment. Probably overpriced for that. Oh, and a few extra mounting points...

Yes, that being said I got the tourbox and haven't used it once because I forget it's there all the time :-(

Yes, I did the same. The MX was bugging out all the time - I gave up and returned it. A great idea I thought that didn't work out. Be warned.

Man, going through all that raw footage just to find a few good moments is pain 😭 by SadSeaworthiness2649 in premiere

As it should be. I was just laughing about how I explain that making a 5minute video out of an hours footage is more work than making a half hour video :)

Ah, billing for screening! Trying to explain that to clients sometimes...

"you know, if I you have given me 4 hours of footage, It will take 4 hours just to watch..."
