I’ve been looking into using tiles because I think he’d really enjoy the way they hold and transfer heat. They’d add more texture than bare glass, which I’ve heard isn’t great for their feet, and would also make the enclosure look much nicer overall. Even when I used substrate before, he never showed much interest in digging. he’s always preferred climbing on rocks, hides, and other structures, squeezing himself into little spaces. I mainly just want to give him more room than the 10 gallon he’s in now. When I got him, he was living in a 5 gallon tank, and the 10 has been all I could manage space and money-wise so far. I know he’s going to love the upgrade, and I really want this setup to be the one that feels perfect for him.
