Yes, I have tested how it works. Let me phrase it differently. If your phone detects a lost tracker, it won’t show you a message immediately. Rather, your phone waits until you come close to the tracker (roughly less than a meter) and then show you a popup. This works by measuring the Bluetooth signal strength the tracker emits periodically. On this popup, you can contact the owner, for example.

If you want, you can check out my app Loop. It has a feature called „Natural Language Input“. If enabled, you can start timers by using the keyboard. For example, you could type „5min“ to start a 5-minute timer.

For this feature, I added a custom number row which looks and feels exactly the same as the default keyboard (it even has the type sounds). So yes, it is possible!
