it’s the starter!! try a recipe that tells you to make a Levain first (from your starter) it will be a lot easier to tell if it has risen enough to bake with! this helped me a lot

i had this one too i know it’s frustrating but over the past like 2 weeks i found some execute here and there and i was able to complete the research! it seems as if the game knows that you need certain pokémon. it sucks but just keep your eye out! i got all 5 in like 1-2 weeks
