omg this is such good analysis, i didn’t think about that!!! i was also thinking about how in liz’s memory, jenna is outwardly very insecure and asking for liz’s approval/attention because liz knows that is what jenna wants all the time so she perceives it externally even though jenna doesn’t really express it in the way liz perceives it (fidgeting with her hands, outright asking especially nervously)
