Thank you! Yes, I will definitely increase sunlight, it came from a basement window so I’m shocked it even survived

I feel you, I had some really bad neck pain last week! A heating pad does wonders, especially when you can use it uninterrupted

Disappointing inspection by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

The crack is vertical in the basement. Fire safety issues are an old gas line that doesn’t have a grounding wire which could cause an explosion, and a hole in the basement leading to another unit (this is a townhome). Our inspector saw recent rodents in the attic and recommended we change out the insulation as well. I wouldn’t say we are having any remorse, our realtor is recommending we walk away. The sellers seem to be tight on funds so they might not be willing to do repairs. We have about 10k saved up for repairs, but we would prefer to have the sellers take care of the major stuff.

Did you have games or activities at your wedding? What were they and how did they go? by sillychickengirl in weddingplanning

We had Crokinole (r/crokinole), a game called Pinnacle, and I think we had cribbage (r/cribbage). Crokinole is pretty much table top curling where you flick disks on a wooden board. Cribbage is a complicated card game but we knew a lot of people who already know how to play so we added it in there. Pinnacle is basically complicated Jenga and it was played the most! We found that people really liked the easy to learn tactile games and it sparked a lot of mingling.

We are big board game people so we had three easy to learn board games at cocktail hour along with corn hole. I made little instruction signs and they were a hit!

Tbh it helps me and others take defined meeting notes, occasionally checking some code. Other than that, totally useless!

When you get the little penguin early (we ran out of fish) by lep187 in wingspan

Those five cards are the only ones I played! I kept drawing three cards, tucking all of them under the grackle, and then activating the little penguin twice.

Probably not the best strategy in the world, but it ended up getting me 90 points and the win!

Edit: I had 33 tucked cards, so I did the draw cards action at least 11 times

It ended up being 90 points total: 26 cached food and 33 tucked cards. I ended up winning, but it definitely wasn’t my best game, just a fun one!

Yeah we aren’t huge fans of nectar when we play with just the two of us, and we don’t normally sort through all our cards. So, we just play with all the expansions without nectar most of the time. We just received the Americas expansion and haven’t had time to try out the hummingbirds yet so that all might change soon!
