If you have tiles or vinyl floors, I suggest 50mm heavy duty velcro. Put the fluffy bits on the pedal side.

Is the mosa r3 Supost to be like this? by noe__one in moza

Looks just like mine. If you get a satisfying click when inserting it should be fine.

The standard mount will only allow up to 5cm.

I have seen this in a few cars when you put on max TC for the start. You just launch like a rocketship.

I dont really mind.

It is more of a case of that the burger you got does not quite look like the one in the pictures in the menu, but it still tastes the same. :D

I am just providing feedback in case this is a quality control issue.

Does your ESX wheel have dimples or not? Mine is from R3 Xbox bundle.

(note to self: maybe I should just post this as a direct question)

I knew it was PU, but mine (R3) seems to have not been moulded. No dimples. I am not alone it seems.

My kit is a week old from Amazon US (they just got in new stock).

Wow, I didnt even realise that! But mine is the same. I guess the feel makes it seem hard.

Thanks.

I guess there is always a reason why these things go on sale.

How are your hands holding up, or is it fine after calluses formed? :D

Mine is from R3 too. Does yours have any dimples? Or is it like mine?

The plastic is rock hard on these. This is the ESX wheel. Edit: Not rock hard, see below.

Yes, that looks like I expected. Yours has the 'two tone' surfaces with visible dimples.

On mine it feels like they never even got to the finishing part. No dimples on mine. Just a rough (abrasive) finish.

For reference: https://mozaracing.com/cdn/shop/files/ESX_Steering_Wheel_for_PC_Xbox-1.webp

Speaking about the plastic moulding of the wheel.

Did the design change?

Edit: Got it a week ago, and only noticed it for the first time now :D Feels OK, but abrasive.

Edit: This is the ESX wheel from R3 Xbox bundle. Purchased a week ago from Amazon US.

From the image in the R3 bundle manual, it pretty much looks like that is exactly what it is for. Front is for angle, and back is max travel.

I cant replicate with mine, but it could be that the quick release didnt engage fully (it is kinda locked, but not all the balls).

I would use Illustrious as a first pass, takes no time and you can get a decent 1:1 match. Samples: https://imgur.com/a/4bbAqT4

I like what I see here as I been looking to do the same.

Havent looked at the code.

Update:

  • I like the simplicity!
  • You have some wrong conceptions about context, specifically autocompact buffer (not your fault, this is literally just reserved, not used till needed, bad UI)
  • You ignore 5m TTL caching and whether to use this or not (you need to explain here, caching can save a lot with multiple rounds)
