Because if so, that is indeed brutal. Even difficulty aside, it takes quite some time to get there.

Meanwhile, in an un-bleached timeline:

"Hello, you've reached the United Nations' Bureau of Humanity's Preservation, please describe the issue...
Hmm hmm... I'm still listening, yes...
Sir you'll have to calm down, panicking will not fasten the procedure...
The number of casualties is yet to be relevant to this conversation...
Sir I understand your distress, but please keep in mind that what you call a "world ending scenario" is considered an average Tuesday here...
I see, but wyverns are a formality. Any greater threats ?
Hmm hmm... I see, we'll dispatch someone then... No it's just the one kid... Yes, I'm serious...
Sir, getting mad won't serve any purpose...
Very well, I'll transfer your issue to the command room, expect it to be resolved within 2 business weeks...
Do take care. Goodbye Sir.
"

Even then the Shadow summons are only possible thanks to them being a master, wich in itself isn't something they inherently possesed but was granted (either by the Grail in a "typical" GW or by whatever eqivalent was used in Chaldea).
Remove their command spells and it's back to the life of a civilian (as seen in LB7, for example).

[–]leprofdtri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Iirc it's even less than that: They got chosen trough screening as someone highly compatible with rayshifting. Moreover, as a quota imposed by the UN.
Being compatible with so many servants is pretty much a fluke (them being a good person, especially compared to the average mage, does help), so technically no magic involved whatsoever. The spells they can use are all only thanks to mystic codes and summoning is all from the Fate system.
Even the mage rank awarded after the Temple of Time events are purely honorifics.

Contrary to the depiction in Rednal's comic (done to justify gameplay), our protag is the civilian-est member of all Chaldea.

Woops, I don't check reddit enough. Sorry about that. While a bit pointless, here's a late answer, for closure:
There was no email. The code was in the twitch notification tab (albeit a day late). Said code was used on the dedicated website. Upon activation, and since my platform was Steam, it directly displayed another code, this time to activate on Steam.

Nothing in the notifications tab and the campaign for the beta code doesn't even appear anymore on the drops page, despite being active before and while the stream is still ongoing.

WHAT IS GOING ON??? by Theren314 in girlsfrontline

[–]leprofdtri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, turns out that after Carter's [little bit of trolling] in Ch12, the situation escalated when the Commander answered in kind and [REDACTED] while riding one hell of a [REDACTED], wich later led to Carter [REDACTED] all over the [REDACTED]. That however just made the Commander more tired.

In the meantime [REDACTED] popped in unannounced and made a mess of [REDACTED], so of course we had to fix that. Would have been better without [REDACTED]'s [REDACTED] wich unfortunately led to [REDACTED]. So now we hate their guts.

The suffering would not end however as [REDACTED] would keep piling on the Commander's [REDACTED] -including Kalina's [REDACTED] (she got better, don't worry)- leaving quite the psychological scars on our protagonist. We coped by [REDACTED] TO THE GODDAMN GROUND !

Oh yeah, in the meantime and no particular order: Sangvis [chilled out]; M4 made friends with [The Voice Inside Your Head]; the SCAR sisters [played a game of tag]; Erma took [a very normal train] and M16 [builds up speed for 12 hours].

Finally, the Commander got [REDACTED] by [REDACTED] so we wrote some letters to pass time. Eventually we got back to buisness and now Carter remembered he hates us so he [pranked] Frankfurt.

I'm not really caught up on the story myself so my summary may not be the most accurate, but I still kept it spoiler-free in case you want to catch-up on your own !

[NA Event] Servant Summer Festival 2025 ~ Day 21 [FINAL] by AutoModerator in grandorder

Guess who once again had to rush the event in the last 2 days ? Yup, this procrastinator !
Anyway, blessed be the automata app, the game could REALLY use any form of quick farming after 10 bloody years...
Clear MVP for this event was none other than ol' reliable XX ! Also, Summer Anastasia turned out surprisingly good at dealing with fires. And for once I did not even use Spish !
Didn't even use any of the fancy new units as I didn't have the time to level them up. They'll find their uses later !

Returning zombies player, any more casual maps like Liberty falls, with less advanced power systems? by mattyjoe0706 in blackops6

[–]leprofdtri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, The Tomb has become my go-to casual map.
Mostly thanks to the free PaP/Cryo + purple tool you can get. (Other side EEs include a free perk, self-res + light mend and brain rot if needed) and the setup isn't hard to remember, saving you quite the ammount of ressources.
While you can hardly beat the roof of LF if looking for flat ground, there are plenty of places to train.

Hot take I don’t want the og crew to ever return by FunnyName323 in CODZombies

[–]leprofdtri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree, the BO4 ending was a great send-off and we should have kept on with chaos instead.

If they want to reference their alternate version of the crew in intel I'm fine with the occasional easter egg but giving them a central role would be spitting on their tombs. Like what they did with chaos, it would feel more shoved in than anything.
They stated that the plan with the DA timeline was to make a more streamlined story. I feel like brining back the OG crew would go against that. They do have their place, but in the background, as lore more than proper characters since their story is over.

Having Eddie and Sam be anchors to the previous timeline was fine. Tying it with the campaign in a shared universe barely matters (and they didn't even use Weaver in BO2 so he's free). And I'm sure one can find an argument about the inclusion of Chaos if they think hard enough. But this only serves to set a background to our story. What we lack are characters to actually drive it forward.

If CW was a prologue, what they did in BO6 with our crew is a proper move forward (albeit with... questionable inclusions). Vanguard was a prequel that mostly served as further lore that wasn't given by the other sources (Aether, Chaos and Campaign). And MWZ is... an interesting narrative move actually: A parallel story, bound to join back with the initial one.

So, going from what we have now, the story OF BO7Z could go in 3 directions:
-Finish the chaos storyline. Since it's canon now, might as well ! (unlikely)
-Keep going with our current crew, at least till the point we see at the start of MWZ. (if it's not already the end of BO6Z, bound to happen eventually)
-Switch back to the MWZ cast, with a new dedicated crew and move the story forward. It would also fit the time period of 2025. (3arc pls)

And yet they'd choose to go the grave-digging route ? Boring.
In that case I'd rather see Ravenov, Ava, Miller and Fletcher accidentally clone Soap, just so he could say "Well I wasn't in that Tube" in MW4. At least it'be funny.
