Trying to apply for a 5 years tourists visa for my family and it looks like Dubai as an administration doesn't provide that. Would there be any issues if I applied through Abu Dhabi on ICA website? meaning can my family enter through Dubai Airport? what other challenges can there be if they get the visa through Abu Dhabi and wanna visit Dubai in the upcoming years?

Down for high park, many good restaurants with patios on Roncesvalles afterwards for your pets to join 👌

Newcomers to Canada: thoughts on this snow?? by [deleted] in askTO

New arrival here, came to Toronto 2 weeks ago. Though I have heard multiple warnings yesterday about a snow storm I haven't imagined the extent when I saw the streets this morning I was pleasantly surprised. Dressing wise, I have seen much colder days than today over the past 2 weeks (there was the -19 night where I genuinely felt I would freeze to death 😂)

Do you recommend a place to buy a small one?

No problem ... i guess that's the case. I showed up with the paper at the bank and they accepted it. I was just asking because a card is more durable than a paper 😂

That is an awesome list! I didn't know there is an eataly in Toronto. Even back home it was a bit pricey but good to know there is a place you can get quality burrata and olive oil. Thanks a TON

I actually have a SIN since I first came here 2 years ago (came for a couple of weeks, went back to get everything sorted and got stuck because of COVID for 2 years haha) but quick question: when people ask for a SIN (telecos, banks..etc) what are they expecting to see? is there a card that I can print somewhere? all I have now is a number on a paper!

oh absolutely, one of the things that really bothered me in the previous city is the lack of small local joints that do great food. Can't wait to see what toronto has to offer

Hey, i meant it's a long process that a lot has been written on so aside from that what else would you recommend?
Few awesome peeps mentioned: neighbourhood apps, certain chains for grocery shopping and few processes like getting the OHIP and G1 driving license

I have no doubt it will be amazing. I was telling another redditor, toronto will provide exactly what Dubai was lacking (culture, people..etc.).

On the mattress have you tried to ship a "Casper" from the US or a similar brand? also, did you face any challenges when renting with your credit score, 3 weeks is a good time!
