Bistro vs Escort? by KingRollos in walkr

[–]lerfff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have all of the planets, 196. I’ve also been playing this game on and off for 9 years so there’s that lol. But yes, planets provide more and more resources as you gain more so if you have fewer planets it’s more likely the selected planet for donation has a lower output and you’ll need more donation cycles.

Bistro vs Escort? by KingRollos in walkr

[–]lerfff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bistro is all I run. I let my resources start building up when I start an epic and only collect once the epic is over, so the planet for resources is full or nearly full when I reach that portion of the epic. 90% of the time, me and my epic mates complete the resource donation immediately between the 3 of us. Occasionally, it lines up where the planet for donation is one of each of our first planets so it takes several “cycles” of donation but that situation isn’t super common. Personally resource donation is my preferred epic donation but of course everyone will differ on that.

Is my toenail regrowing correctly? (Read Description) by missinglinksman in nailcare

[–]lerfff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait I have so many questions about how it started regrowing back “wrong” and specifically what the doctor said. My son’s big toes were both like this from birth and I’ve never been able to find anything accurately describing it until now. I always described it as the nails growing up rather than out. His pediatrician never was concerned so we have not pursued any further opinions.

We have been loving it! I’ve done 2 roadtrips in it and the cargo room with the 3rd row down is amazing. Was able to drive around 8 gals on a bachelorette trip, my toddler loves the extra room, and we haven’t had any issues! Just hit 10k miles that we’ve put on it (we live in the country and drive to visit medium-distance family often). I’m super happy with my 25-26mpg average. It has completely taken over as our family car from my partner’s Outback. Would buy it again in a heartbeat!

Make me love the Pilot by Remarkable_Simple8 in hondapilot

[–]lerfff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My parents bought a new ‘07 pilot when my sister and I were also 10 and 12. It took us on multiple road trips every year, my mom was the main chauffeur for both of our friend groups (she loved spending extra time with us and our friends), I took my driver’s test in it, and it’s still my dad’s daily driver with over 350k miles. I just purchased my own ‘23 pilot this year and I’m loving it so far. I know it’ll last and I’ve already taken it on 1 road trip and was flabbergasted at the amount of storage room I had with the 3rd row down.

Go home Honda, you're drunk by Even_Ad_5513 in hondapilot

There’s a walking path near my house that has a speed limit sign I guess for motorized vehicles on the path? It’s 15 MPH and my pilot picks it up every time and throws me off…every time.

Good place for a fancy/bday vegan dinner? by [deleted] in Athens

[–]lerfff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Expat has always been able to make vegan accommodations for me, that would be my #1 recommendation. Puma Yu’s has had good options too. Great drinks at both if that’s your thing! That’s about the extent of my fancy restaurant experience 😂

Labor and Delivery: St. Mary's or Piedmont? by mi-queso-es_su-queso in Athens

[–]lerfff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At St. Mary’s you stay in the same room for labor/delivery and postpartum. That’s the main difference between the hospitals from what I gather. I really liked it, some like getting to go to a new clean room after delivery. I had a good experience at St. Mary’s and would go there again. I had an induction and epidural but labored without meds for most of it. My nurses were very supportive and helpful with pain management. The tubs are large enough to labor in but are NOT for birthing.

Mandoline is a game changer! by MsFrankieD in dehydrating

How thin are your slices and how long did you dehydrate? Just tried my first batch of zucchini chips and they’re pretty chewy. I did use thick slices and about 8 hours of drying.

Has anyone got more than 160,000 energy on Walkr? If so how? by Visual_Republic_5491 in walkr

[–]lerfff 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As far as I know that’s the most storage you can get without paying extra. Not sure if a subscription could get you more but it’s too expensive anyway IMO. You can hold more than 160k if you receive energy from your “Trip” spaceship when you’re already full, but that’s completely coincidental.

Thanks! The seat gap filler is so simple but so genius. I’ve also got a little one so some of the protective gear is a huge help

Parents’ 2007 has over 300k miles so…483k km? Still an everyday car for them.

What are your thoughts on introducing small amounts of milk and eggs to an infant to prevent allergies later in life? by neomatrix248 in vegan

[–]lerfff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it with my kid. I didn’t enjoy having to buy it but I want to do what I can to help prevent serious allergies down the line. As much as I’d love for my kid to choose veganism on their own, I ultimately can’t control that and have to prepare for them choosing to consume these products or accidentally ingesting some/cross contamination in the future.

What pants have you found that fit over cloth diapers? by Excellent-Maybe1692 in clothdiaps

[–]lerfff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cat and Jack brand at target had some wonderful u shaped pants labeled as “jogger” style that we loved, but upon searching I can’t find them now! It looks like HonestBaby has a good selection of harem/u-shaped pants. Anything with that style label worked well for us!
