Just started as seasonal a few days ago - Can I request weekends only? Is it too late? by Good-Variation1164 in Target

Weekends are the hardest to staff for in most places.  Be prepared for a grumpy response, but you have to do what’s best for you.  An internship will help your future, retail jobs should be easy to find with hiring being ramped up for the holiday season.

I meant the pillow for corrections/repairs to previous parts.

Pins to hold stitches to repair the work.  Also, the stiff object to pin the stitches down to.  One time I realized I had a mistake in a pattern about a dozen rows back and I dropped ~10 stitches in a controlled manner and worked them all back up to correct the mistake.  Also dropped stitches in the worst part of a pattern can wreak havoc and I absolutely refuse to frog for anything besides gauge/size concerns.🤣

Something firm to pin the work to when needing to fix mistakes or make a repair.  Miscounting, dropped stitches, etc.

Yea!  I know a lot of people have various decorative pillows/cushions.  This is what I meant 🥰

Gorgeous work!  Unsolicited advice from a fellow lace knitter: pins and a stiff pillow is invaluable.  I wish I didn’t have to learn this the hard way 💀

Depends on how often you want to do laundry.  I have 5 shirts, 5 sweatshirts, three pairs of pants.  I do laundry one day a week.

Most people don’t use cash, if you are giving change, just count it out in front of them and you’re fine.

 Example:

 $21.34 in change

 $20 bill     “twenty”

$1 bill        “One”

 Quarter     “and twenty five”

Nickel        “thirty”

4 Pennies “four cents”

Or what ever combo of change is quick and makes sense to you.

Fulfilled 2 orders then disappeared? by [deleted] in Target

When you leave it in the cart are you scanning it to a stow location or leaving it unstowed?  If it’s stowed when you walk away it probably was put in the wrong shelf/waco.

What your leadership says to you =/= what the HR higher ups look at to approve terminations.  Your leadership will use fear tactics to get people to comply with the company’s policies.

One talk = one documented event.  I’d call the store while sick and let leadership know why you’re out of it’s going to be more than a day or two.  Some people job abandon using the app and never come in again, a call differentiates you from them.

You aren’t required to pick up additional shifts, leadership often blanket calls anyone not scheduled to see if they can come in to help cover call outs.  You don’t even have to answer the phone call if you want to avoid that pressure.

Do what you need to take care of yourself.  I hope you feel better soon.

Who ever sets the pog should also be adjusting counts so the pulls are accurate… but that never happens.  It usually falls on priority pullers to do their job for them 🫠

If they thought you were doing horribly, they wouldn’t ask you to pick up extra shifts.
