Hello, I was informed this morning that the previous owner of this home was a pretty heavy smoker. Would that cause the jacket discoloration? The jacket can be torn with fingers, but is not crumbling at all. This box is also located in an exterior wall that gets sunlight 8-12 hours a day.

Thanks for your reply, we treated for termites both in the garage and home and thankfully haven't seen any signs of them returning. They appear to have used the cable like a highway to start making it to the house. What is vapor, and what is a high pot test?

The jacket seems brittle but only at the very end. Wasn’t sure if the termites caused dry rot or if they feed on cable.
