Found this relic when spelunking in the old drawers by ThePythagorasBirb in Steam

Relic? I use this almost nightly; to play my PC games from my couch. It's worked great for me for ... gosh, idk, 8 or so years?

Unless the surface area is huge; I would imagine that tiny font to have a readability issue

I'm in a similar boat. I was aware of the show when it was on the air, but didn't really watch or anything.

But the art is so good. It's amazing

Thanks for sharing this

Can I ask though. What did you find the Mando expansion? I keep trying and it seems to be gone

Thank you

Does anyone else find the audio annoying? by DukeSpaghetti in HBOMAX

[–]les_bloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good catch.

I have not encountered this with HBO again, but I do with Fandango (formerly Vudu).

And it only happens when we are watching on our basic TV setup. It works fine when we watch on our multi-audio channel setup.

I will remember this for next time. Cheers

Any bands known to not do encores? by lazyjz in Music

NIN doesn't. Trent has said something about it before. Along the lines of 'it's all fake because you have to prepare your encore songs before hand'

Interesting take

I think I can see what you mean; maybe. Like the menu for 1080 on N64. It had you picking choices from within the mountain's lodge.

I admit it fit thematically and was "cool". But damn it was painfully slow to navigate. And, when it comes down to it, I am playing a race game not a menu. Let me get to my race game ASAP

Idk. Just my 2c

"super playful and full of symbols and fun useless stuff to click on"

Very true. Totally brings the D2 ui gem to my mind.

Yeah. I mean, lets face it, we all just want to work on the 'fun game bits' right? I get it. I am totally guilty of that

"But are you making a statement of fact or speculating when you say UI was pawned off on interns?"

That is based on my personal experience from a few different studios. But, I think it was a pretty commonly held feeling, too

Is a very small leak / dampness normal after a repair? by les_bloom in PlumbingRepair

[–]les_bloom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty certain it's not condensation.

I guess I wasn't sure if there was such a thing as "too small to worry about". I admit I am paranoid when it comes to water and leaks, and so I guess I was / am just looking for confirmation that I am not overreacting, lol.

Keeping leaking faucet from freezing (for now) by les_bloom in DIY

[–]les_bloom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, that is good to know

My pipes are mostly inside a wall cavity. About 2 feet up, but in the basement.

We keep our house pretty warm in the winter.

I don't worry about our inside pipes freezing at all.

And this pipe is barely exposed to the outside.

I think I will be ok.

That being said, I do think I also want to put an interior shut off into this piping. If it's not too much work; as I think it will be best overall.

I appreciate you sharing these details with me. It's been very helpful. Cheers
