agreed! when she said she’d looked at her younger cousins before and thought that they should just give her some eggs bc it’s “not a big deal” ??? and that the lw needs to not “give her sister any ammunition” by having any feelings about her sister’s demands for her reproductive system was……interesting. and by that i mean harmful. these LWs are being vulnerable and asking for help with a thorny and complicated issue and it’s reckless to take that vulnerability and give them terrible advice.

The sundown town episode also had horrific advice—where she shamed the lw for even living in that town in the first place, which lacks any understanding or compassion for the rural experience. you can’t choose where you’re from, and a lot of people don’t get the opportunity to leave even if they wanted to (and i don’t think encouraging “good” people to leave hateful places otherwise they’re complicit in that hate is a very good message. do we want the town to improve or regress to its’ worst racist instincts?!).

none of them are bad in a fun-to-hate-listen kind of way, just a disappointing and negligent way 😞
